The entire feerleading team went into the gym to start the preparations for the new schools' arrival.

You were talking Ghoulia as Frankie walked by. "Oh! Cool streamers, Lagoona."

"Actually, that's our lunch." You looked over to see Gil slurp up a long line of kelp like it was a spaghetti noodle.

Frankie gave a nervous chuckle and looked over at us. "Um, Cleo, those posters don't seem very... welcoming."

"Ha, welcome them? No, I just want all of my new subjects to know who their queen is."

You and Ghoulia stopped your poster making to see Cleo standing by a picture of herself. Then you continued painting. However, before Ghoulia could join you, Cleo called her.

"Come on, Ghoulia, we need to put these up in every hall." Then Ghoulia followed her with a dejected look on her face as she held a few of Cleo's posters.

Before they could leave the gym, Frankie stopped them, "Wait, so who's gonna lead us?" Then Lagoona, Cleo, and Ghoulia backed away.

Clawdeen spoke up from the bleachers, "Well, it can't be us." She gestured to Draculaura next to her, "Vampire," then to herself, "Werewolf."

Draculaura lowered her Monsterbeat magazine, "Maybe it should be you. You're the one who's really barking for this."

"Me, leader? I've never- Oh, wow, this is voltagious!"

"Frankie, werewolves? Vampires? Don't get your hopes up too high, okay?" Draculaura had put down her magazine completely now.

Clawdeen joined in, "They been feudin' for thousands of years. I don't think some posters and balloons are gonna fix all that."

"But, you two are friends?"

"Yeah, that's because-"

Frankie didn't let Clawdeen finish, "Because, you go to Monster High! Where you can be yourself. Freaky flaws and all!" Clawdeen and Draculaura gave each other a worried glance as Frankie continued, "That's why we need to welcome the new students with open arms." Frankie had swung her arms out in a hugging motion to emphasize her point, but her right arm had come off and his one of the gym windows.

"Frankie's right," Lagoona was standing by Gil, "I mean, look at me and Gil. Freshwater and saltwater? Our people don't get along. This school brought us together."

"Even thought my parents sent me away, they couldn't change me. So, I'm back!" Gil looked lovingly at her.

"See? This place has the power to bring monsters together!" Frankie said with excitement.

"Well, we'll help you set up tomorrow, but I don't think we should get too close. In case there's trouble." Clawdeen finally gave in.

"Well, I won't let anything go wrong, but I'm gonna need some help."

At that moment, you felt Frankie's eyes on your person. You paused in your painting to turn your head to look at her. She was giving you puppy eyes and had a hopeful smile on her face.

Oh ghoul! You had hoped that if you kept quiet and didn't bring any attention to yourself, then Frankie would forget you were there entirely.

Releasing a sigh, you put down your paint brush and stood. You wiped your hands on your clothes and slowly turned to her. "Okay..."

"Voltageous! But, two of us aren't going to be enough." As Draculaura and Clawdeen got close to the exit of the gym, the doors abruptly opened.

There, Abbey Bominable stood. "Need a hand?" She held up Frankie's hand, "Ha, I make joke."

Everyone just stood in confusion at her arrival.
