Happy Friday!
Brief little story: So today, I asked my favorite staff (she's in her early 20's & I think a councilor, (something like that). I asked her if she was okay because a student was in the process of helping her up and that's obviously all that I saw. She looked me in the eyes and gave me a little smile. She softly replied, "No, Jay, but I'll be okay." She said it so sadly, it broke my heart. It was as if she wanted me to understand. (I'm most likely overthinking it lmao).
I was shocked to say the least because usually, she's chipper. And I didn't expect her to be so honest with me & say that.
So, I just wanted to share that because damn I felt that. I think we all did, honestly.
I wanted to ask her more but I didn't want to cross the threshold of student & "teacher," I guess.
And I'm also worried 'cause she's the only staff in this dreadful place that I actually voluntarily communicate with (& no it does not have to do with the fact that she's stunning & awesome) but, yeah... ;)
