"your a fucking slut y/n, i was only your friend cause i felt bad for you, but now, now you deserve this." she said as you felt your face sting with pain and your head fell back onto the pathway

you didn't know what to do, your best friend Tilly of 6 years just abused you. She repeatedly punched your face and left you alone at the park with 2 black eyes, a bleeding nose, cut lip and a probably broken arm

why? why did she do this? something to do with you being "too bitchy" for her , because you "liked ruel in a more than friends way", and how you were only used for "free food and clothes"

you finally woke after blacking out, your head filled with a throbbing pain and the taste of blood filled your mouth.

your phone was next to you. cracked and scratched.

you dialled your best friend/neighbours number. ruel was and always had been there for you, he never liked Tilly and always said she was a bad influence, but you didn't listen and look where that got you.

"ruel please pick up" you said into the phone as it dialled, the time was 3:15 am, so it wouldn't be a surprise if no one answered

"hello?" a raspy voice on the other end of the speaker said into your ear

"ruel, it me" you said back shakily

"y/n? what happened, are you okay?!" he said in a slightly worried tone

"no, i'm really not, i need you to come get me" you said to him with tears slowly flowing down your bloody face

"i'm coming now, where are you?" he asked you as you continued to shake

"i'm at the park at the end of the street" you said to him

"i'm coming now, stay on the phone with me, what happened?" he asked as you heard him start the car

"tilly" you replied

"what the fuck did that bitch do!?" he yelled into the phone

"she knocked me out" you said to him

"that fuckhead!" ruel screamed into the phone

"where about are you? im here and it's pitch black" he said to you as you immediately started looking for him

"i'm near the swing set" you said to him as you saw a tall figure run to you as you ended the phone call

"y/n. omg y/n" ruel said as he examined you under his phone flash light

he hugged you, trying not to hurt your arm

"come on bub, i'm taking you to the hospital" he said as he lifted you up and carried you bridal style to his car

"thank you so much ruel, with out you i don't know what i would do" you said to him as he buckled you in the front seat

"i'll always be here for you, unlike that bitch." he said which made you smile

"so anyway, why did she do this?" he asked

"because i was too bitchy and i was only used for getting her free things, and how i like- wait never mind" you said as you cut yourself off from the last part

"how you like what?" he asked

"nothing" you replied

"oh um okay" he said as he pulled up at the hospital

he got out of the car and walked around to the other side to get you.

"can you walk?" he asked as you got out of the car

"yeah i think so" you replied to him as you shut the car door

"i'll help you still" he said pulling you close to his side as he wrapped his arm around you waist and pulled you in close.

he took of his jacket and wrapped it around your arm like a makeshift sling

you both walked up the the front desk

"hi, um y/n y/l/n was knocked out and punched and she needs help" ruel said nervously

"oh my goodness, come with me young lady, um sir can you please wait here as miss y/l/n gets checked?" the receptionist said as she took you and guided you to a hospital room

the doctors checked you and put your arm in a cast, as well as stitching up you lip.

"thank you so much" you said to the doctors as they escorted you out of the room and back to ruel

"no, thank you for your cooperation" they said as they walked off.

you walked up behind ruel, who was leaning sideways against a wall watching youtube on his phone

you tapped him on the shoulder as he jumped and turned around

"oh my fucking god y/n" he said as he pulled you into a hug

"you like my cast?" you said to him showing off your black cast on your left arm

"it looks great on you" he said while laughing.

he held your hand as you both walked out of the hospital and back to ruel's car. the time now being 6:30 am on the saturday morning

"ruel i need to tell you something" you said to him as he started the engine

"yeah of course, go ahead"

"you know how i didn't tell you the other reason why i got bashed" you said to him

"yeah"

"it's because it was about you" you replied to him

"what?" he asked

"ruel i like you, like alot, not in a friend way. and obviously tilly found out and yeah" you said to him not making eye contact with him

"wait, y-you, you like me?" he said looking up at you

"uh yeah, sorry" you replied to him slowly looking up at him

"fuck" he said as he pulled up outside of your houses

"i'm sorry i should go" you said as you tried to get out of the car, but he locked to doors.

"i mean, fuck, the girl of my bloody dreams likes me. my crush of like forever actually likes me" he said in a shocked way

"wait, you like me?" you replied to him

"yeah of course i do, who wouldn't! i mean your gorgeous, nice, pretty, funny, kind, smart and so amazing"

"says you" you said to him which earned you a giggle

you sat there in silence looking at each other, when he started leaning in, slowly closing the gap between your lips.

you both pulled away and smiled

"we better get you home so you can explain to you parents what happened" he said as he got out of the car and opened the door for you, in which you hopped out following him as he flung his arm around you shoulder

"will your parents be up?" he asked as you both stood outside the door of your house

"yeah, they wake up super early" you replied as you rung the doorbell

your mum opened the door

"omg y/n what happened?" your mum asked as she examined you

"i got bashed" you replied

"by who?" she said looking at ruel

"tilly" you said

"wait so ruel took you to the hospital?" your mum asked again

"yep, and he picked my up from the park" you replied

"this is why your my favourite" your mum said to him as he smiled

"come in and have some brekkie" you mum said as she ushered the two of you inside

"thanks mrs y/l/n" ruel said as he sat down

"anytime sweetie" your mum replied to him
