"Maybe we get back to the base a little more normal so Jazz can keep up," White suggested.

The others nodded in agreement and began walking. They were a little shocked by what they heard from the twins and their sister and how the three were able to just go back to normal business after all they had said. They could never imagine having a history like they did.

As they got closer to the twin's old headquarters, some of them had thought more in-depth about the story they had been told.

Miss.Martian, in particular, was completely horrified. She remembered growing up on Mars and being treated like a second class citizen for being white and not green. Even when she had green relatives, the other greens wouldn't care. She did everything in her power, not much for a kid, to stop all the bullying done to her and her brother. But there is only so much that telekinetically stopping thrown rocks can do against the ones throwing them.

Nightwing was of a similar mind, but for a different reason. He grew up in a circus, so it was only natural that he was teased and often referred to as a "gypsy." The international word for those in a circus. A word most tend to use as an insult. He felt his own experience added to his sympathy toward them. His circus life was almost like his own separate culture, and he was teased over it. And what the mortals in this realm did to magic users was just like that, only multiplied by a million. The mystics and ghosts were hunted, hated, and tormented just for being who they are. It broke his heart.

They had soon all sat down in the headquarter's living room when Phantom decided to break the silence.

"Guys, drop it," Danny told them.

The Team turned to the half-ghost hero. Seems that he knew they were still thinking about what they were told. His eyes were now a dull green but focused. His entire posture was slouching and the circles under his eyes clearly showed how exhausted he was. It also seemed to make the rest of the team realize just how tired the rest of them were as well.

"Bu..." Impulse tried.

"Stop," White interrupts the speedster. "Just don't. This was what we warned all of you about. Why we did not want you guys to come. We knew that this was going to happen, whether you liked it or not. The people here will not show me, my brother, nor any ghost or mystic, mercy. They believe they've lived under the shadows of our kinds all their lives. Which is why they are so hostile and fearful of us. They want ordinary lives and they'll do a lot of things just to get their way. That's why we've decided to let Nightwing and Aqualad take over for the time being."

"WHAT," the team yelled, other than the two mentioned.

More than half the Team stood up from their places around the living room, instantly getting riled up and demanding answers.

"HEY," a female voice screamed.

The Team settled down, some more slowly than others, and turned their attention to the forgotten Jazz. How she could be forgotten when her hair makes her head look like it's on fire, they had no idea.

"I may not know all of you very well, but I do know my brothers," she started. "And when my brothers make a decision, it's usually for a decent reason. Especially when it's something like this. Just listen."

The Team remained silent, some begrudgingly *Cough* Impulse *Cough* and brought their attention back to Phantom and Siren.

"Thanks, Jazz," Danny said. "Now, the reason we've decided this is due to what you witnessed. The people here are terrified and hostile towards ghosts and mystics. Young or old, good or evil, light or dark, they don't care. This also means it's going to be a lot harder to investigate with the two of us around. So this is how it's going to work, you guys will have the investigation tasks more involved with human interaction. Ask around and see what information you can get out of the citizens. If a ghost or mystic just so happens to start causing trouble, we'll still be around."
