I point my arrow straight in between the eyes of my victim. Waiting for the right moment to let the arrow out. I smile when he suddenly starts sniffing the air, knowing he probably won’t see me from where he is standing so I don’t move an inch. On the other side of the man I see Andy, my long term best friend. He’s smirking at me while pointing at the guy. I nod and point arrow to Andy’s hand. He lifts 3 fingers in the air and starts counting down. 3 … 2 … 1 My arrow flies through the air and hist the guy where I wanted it, Immediately Andy drops the fire.
Another vampire less to worry about. I think turning around and walking away together with Andy.
The biggest mistake we could ever make, and we made it, that day, that moment, in a moment of unawareness. With consequences we could have never imagined.
