I was able to guide Supea to the lake. She was completely mesmerized by the view of the lake and how the roots of a tree branches out from the large tree in the center.

"Hold on are..." She began.

"Yep all the trees you see are technically the roots of the center tree." I said, "Now to have the lake heal your wounds you must remove all foreign objects from your body."

"Wait... That means..."

"You have to bathe in the lake naked. Now if you aren't comfortable undressing in front of someone just use any of the large roots to undress." I said pointing at different spots.

"What will you do?" She asked.

"I have to speak with someone." I said looking down the path we came from. I felt him approached us, this aura cannot be mistaken.

"Okay... You won't leave this spot?" She asked.

"No. Now go get healed up. We have someone to question later." I said. She looked at me and seemed to remember what happened earlier. She nodded and walked towards a spot to bathe in.

I took a deep breath and exhaled, "Okay..." I said turning around and was met with Death standing over me.

"Already? Seriously do you not care about the balance?" He asked gazing into my eyes.

"You know me. I like to experiment." I replied.

"You have some expensive test subjects." He said slouching towards me.

"Yes yes... How much will it cost me to keep her alive?" I asked.

"Let's see..." He said tapping his boned finger against his hidden face, "How about half a soul." He said.

"Which half do you want?" I asked.

"Oh not you. Someone will come here and wager their soul for another. I want you to stay out of it as we discuss the wager. If not, then I'll reap her soul on the spot." He said.

"I don't think I can..." I began.

"I'm sorry but you don't have a choice. You agree to this or I take her soul right here and now." He said gripping his scythe. He was right I was at his mercy and couldn't do anything but agree to his terms.

"Fine. You win." I said.

"Glad you understand. Enjoy your new subordinate. I look forward to making more wagers with you." He said, "Actually... I already have another in mind." He said looking towards the entrance. I stood there not happy about the agreement.

"That's problematic." My other half spoke.

"I'm aware." I replied.

"You seem to have a very valued guest today." He said.

"My interrogation subject." I mumbled.

"Yes. You see their souls are very rare. They avoid Death very well and when they do die they just go to their own Reaper." He said.

"You want me to screw another Death for you?" I asked.

"I'll owe you one massive favor." He said.

"And the other Death?" I asked.

"He won't care. What's one Time Lord to his millions?" He asked.

"And if you're wrong?" I asked. He began to chuckle

"To be honest I loathe that bastard." He spoke, "Consider this as my way to spite him."
