Ray

Lost.

How the fuck did I get lost!

It had taken me a whole 5 minutes after waking this morning to know that I couldn't stay there.

I just couldn't do it. I needed to be home, somewhere familiar, somewhere I could be alone.

Yeah..... so that went well.

Now I have no idea where I am. I just took this little short cut I used to know, through the wood.

It has changed.

A lot.

And morphed into a signal black hole.

It just gets better and fucking better, doesn't it?

On the bright side though, I am now very definitely alone.

I sighed deeply and sat down on the dirt, leaning my back against a tree. Why does this happen to me? How do I manage to fuck EVERYTHING up? How? How is it even possible to be this much of a fuck up?

Groaning, I ran my hand over my face and grudgingly stood up. I don't want to be stuck in here over night. With that thought in mind, I started walking again. In a direction I hoped would lead to civilisation.....possibly.

To be honest right now I'd take anything that wasn't another tree.

.........

Life!

Well, a road anyway.

I let out a sigh of relief, I was out of that forest! I just have to climb this fence and then I'm free.

Chucking my bag over, I began to climb. I was nearly safe when my foot slipped and I fell, scraping my arm along the barbed wire topping the fence.

"Shit"

I sat on the dirt where I had landed, cradling my right arm. Ok, so that was a really bad idea. I gritted my teeth and looked at the gash. It ran all the way from my inner elbow to the middle of my fore arm.

I winced, it was already bleeding heavily.

I know I'm not a genius or anything, but with darkness descending, even I could tell that this was bad.

Really bad.

.......................

Sarah

I was starting to get worried, it was getting dark and we still hadn't found that idiot. When we discovered his bed empty this morning, I didnt think much of it after his actions last night. I think it's safe to say I don't like that boy very much.

Still.....

Its dusk and despite the fact it's summer the nights get cold out here. I don't know where he would have gone though, he doesn't strike me as the type to go for an eleven hour walk.

I looked up as the door slammed. "Sarah" mum called wearily. She had been out looking for Ray for the last four hours, while I had been on baby sitting duty. I heard two sets of footfalls quickly making their way towards the landing.

"Yeah?" I shouted back, standing up from my bed and putting my phone down.

"I need you to go out into the woods and look for Ray. It's getting dark and your the only one who knows them well enough to not get lost."

I sighed knowing that I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he got hurt, no matter how much I disliked him.

"Okay" I replied, already rummaging through my draws for something warmer to wear.
