Flight

~No One~
After SHIELD delivered a new jet, the Avengers boarded and then began the journey with their most recent recruit. The ride to America was fun and exciting for Selene because it was her first time in an aircraft. Well, first time, in any vehicle really (that she remembers). She ran around, fascinated by everything she saw.

After a while, Selene had changed into a Norwegian Forest Cat and was currently chasing the reflection of Tony's watch. Her eyes were wide and pupils huge.

Tony looked down at the shapeshifter. (What the hell is this spaz doing?) He watched her and noticed the little light on the floor. (Oh. Hehehe, this should be fun.)

He took off his watch and gave it to Peter. "Hey kid, cover that and watch this." He pulled a laser pointer out of his pocket and began to giggle. Peter looked confused but still obeyed the billionaire.

Selene tilted her head at the disappearance of her prey. Natasha tried to hide her smile while the twins just laughed.

"Tony, whatever you're planning, it's a bad idea." Bruce stood by the Cradle, staring at the saved copies of Selene's vitals. Steve stayed quiet but shook his head.

From the front of the new jet, Clint heard Tony's giggles and tried to rid himself of the bad feeling in his stomach. (Please, God, Do NOT let Tony piss off Banner.)

Thor and Loki raised a brow but watched the events unfold.

~Selene~
I tilted my head when the spot disappeared. I heard the twins laughing but ignored it. I was on the lookout. Suddenly, a red dot appeared in place of the other one. I crouched and crept forward, the dot moving around. I lunged at it and lifted my paws, only to see that it was gone. What?! Where'd it go?!

I raised my head to see the dot on the wall. It can climb?! I ran for it and jumped up the wall, but the red dot just climbed higher. I thought of a plan to catch it, but it scurried across the floor.

The dot landed on a chair next to the man whose name I learned was Bruce. I jumped at the chair and tried to catch it, but I had failed again. I looked at Bruce and saw the dot was on his neck.

Don't worry, Bruce! I'll save you! I launched myself from the chair and unsheathed my claws, attaching myself to Bruce's shirt.

The man jumped in surprise, but upon realizing it was me, he rolled his eyes and grabbed me from his back, putting me down gently.

Pietro was on the floor holding his stomach. "You showed it who's boss, huh, волчица?" He slightly composed himself. "Good thing you saved Bruce, yeah?"

I puffed up my chest proudly and strutted over to him. He picked me up, so I rubbed my face against his face, purring loudly.

"Моя принцесса." (My princess) Pietro whispered to himself as he held me close to him.

~No One~
Clint's voice came over the speaker, "Alright, everyone. We're making the descent. Take your seats and buckle up." Pietro sat down and set Selene on his lap. She purred and rubbed her face against his chest.

(He genuinely cares for her.) Wanda sat next to her brother and watched the two of them happily. (I'm glad he's learning to love someone else that isn't me.)

Natasha looked over at Pietro and Selene, then looked to Wanda. "He seems happy."

The female Maximoff smiled at the red-haired assassin. "That's because he is."

*Hey guys! Are you enjoying the story so far? I'm trying to update as often as possible, but it's kind of difficult for me right now. Being a high school graduate is much harder than people seem to realize. But anyway, I hope you guys will continue to read the story. And something important that I forgot to mention.
