EZGIF.COM

This is the website that is going to help you through everything when it comes to gifs, and sometimes even pictures. Though our main focus right now is only gifs.

     So, first—
Most people just find their gifs by going to Google and finding one of whatever fits best. That's cool and it works, however I really hate when they just save and paste it into their stories along with other gifs of different sizes, shades, tones, and filters, all of those differences. People, they need to all be in a certain aesthetic to appeal to other people!

With sizes, the site has a cropping and resizing option. Use both when editing the gifs you stole from the internet. First crop it, I usually do a 3:2, but you can do whatever pleases you. Your gif has to be under 240mb (I think) in order to be uploaded to Wattpad, so be aware of this when choosing the size of your gif. I usually go for something 312 or below.

I don't usually put filters on my gif and try to find the ones that look as close as possible, because if you're not creating your own, then it's going to be impossible to find gifs that the exact same shade/tone, so you can put different filters over them to try and fix those issues. For example, if one gif has more of a warm-ish tone to it and the other is cool, add more orange translucent tones to the cooler gif through this sites filtering options. You can change the shade if you want it darker or lighter, etc.

     Now—
Creating a gif can also be done on this site. I rarely do this because I'm not that great with technology (don't @ me) so it's easier for me, personally, to find other gifs and edit them. However, you can go to Youtube and find short clips or crop a longer video into shorter clip, and then turn that into a gif.

To save the video, you can download it straight from YouTube. This is better if the video is under a minute. However if it's longer and you're only trying to find a small piece of the video, you may want to find a way to screen record only what you want from that video. Afterwards, crop out only the part you need for the gif. It can be 1-3 seconds, anything longer than that will tend to be laggy or sometimes not work.

Then you'll go to the website and convert a video to gif and just upload your video from your gallery. There is an option to paste a link, however if your video isn't already cropped in Youtube how you would like it, then it's best to just save it and upload from your gallery.

After that you can edit it exactly how you would any other gif and fit it to your style and your liking, remember to stick to one aesthetic for the best results.
