Chapter 1

Promise P.O.V

"I'm tired!" I said to Demetri as I yawned.

"Yeah, well you did stay up until six o'clock knowing damn well you had to wake up at 6:30." See Demetri was my bestie. I knew him since diaper days because my dad and his dad are in a drug business together.

"You know I got insomnia bruh, I be trying to sleep but I just can't." I said with my head down.

"Just go to sleep, I got ya back." He said after sucking his teeth.

"Suck ya teeth all you want but you and I both know you love this game." I say resting my head comfortably on the desk.

"Yeah I love when you go to sleep so I don't have to smell ya stank breath in class for 45 minutes." He says, chuckling .

Instead of having a comeback, cause we both know that my breath do not stink, I let a small giggle leave my lips, yawned, then took this opportunity to fall into a nice deep sleep.

6 Hours Later

Phone Convo

"Daddy I'm out of school, where are you?" I asked my father

"I'm on my way babygirl, I just got caught up in work." And by work he means being the biggest DrugLord in all of New York. Well along side Julian Rodriguez, Demetri's father. Also know as, Uncle J.R.

"Okay daddy, I'm outside waiting."

"Alright babygirl."

After I hung up with my dad I sat on the bench in front of my school. I looked up from my phone to see a car that I thought I was my father's. Boy was I wrong because after I got up the car swerved and drove towards me as I ran screaming 'HELP'. That's when they hit me. I heard my father about 2 minutes later telling me to wake up but I couldn't. After that I heard nothing. I saw nothing. I knew nothing except for one thing. I wanted to get out of this cold, dark, scary place.

King's P.O.V

My babygirl is in a coma. A damn coma. At 12 years old and it's all because of me. Because my dumb ass didn't pick her up on time. Because I wasn't there for her. Just wait til she wakes up. If she ever wakes up. I'm gonna hunt down who ever did this shit and shred them to pieces.
