I woke up Sunday to a text from Maddie.
Maddie: have you checked insta
Amelia: no why
Maddie: Jake made a post you need to look at it
Amelia: Okay I will
I logged on to my insta I had forgotten to unfollow Jake so I got all his notifications I looked at his latest post it said got a new girl and below was a photo of Jake and Maya my heart dropped I didn't mind that Jake was dating again we were over, but it had to be my bestie he was dating. I decided to text Maya it had to be a mistake.
Amelia: I saw Jake's post, is he lying
Maya: no we're together
Amelia: we just broke up and now you decide your going to date him
Maya: I've always liked him but you got in the way and I don't see the problem you two broke up
Amelia: yeah but your supposed to be my best friend and your dating my ex
Maya: you've been so busy are we even friends anymore
Amelia: not anymore can't have a friend who will date my ex right after he broke up with me
Maya: fine I don't need you
Amelia: I don't need you either I have better friends
I deleted Maya's number I can't believe this two weeks ago I had a boyfriend and a bestie and now that was gone. I decided to text Maddie and tell her the news.
Amelia: Maya and I are no longer friends
Maddie: so it's true
Amelia: yeah, Maya and I got into it and I deleted her number
Maddie: well I'm sorry, but from what it sounds she wasn't a real friend
Amelia: yeah I got better friends
Maddie: yeah, also Abby wants you and me to meet the new kid at Starbucks
Amelia: that's cool, do you know who it is
Maddie: no but hopefully they are good
Amelia: well I'll ask my mom brb
"Hey mom"I ran downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was cleaning "hey Amelia what's up"my mom said "Abby wants me and Maddie to go to Starbucks to meet the new kid can I go"I asked "of course but I'm really busy, you might have to get Mellisa to take you"my mom said "okay"I said and ran upstairs to text Maddie
Amelia: hey my mom is busy, can your mom take me
Maddie: yeah, we will be there in thirty minutes
I set down my phone and went to I change. I decided to wear a black shirt, a pink skirt, black boots, and a hair clip.

Once Maddie and her mom finally arrived we headed to Starbucks. "That's outfit is so cute"Maddie said "thanks I like your outfit too"I said and Maddie and I chatted the whole way to Starbucks. When we finally arrived Maddie and I went to go order a mocha it was Maddie's fav and she wanted me to try it, I've never had coffee so maybe it will be good. Once we got our mochas we looked to see where Abby and the new kid. Once we found them we sat at the booth they were at and starting talking. The new kid was a guy which was going to be weird especially since I just broke it off with Jake. "Girls this is Isaac , he was at the auditions but didn't make it to the finals since Jake is gone he would be a great replacement"Abby said "hi"Maddie and I said "well I'm going to let you guys get to know each other"Abby said and walked off "where are you from"Maddie said "Miami"Isaac said "I live just above that in Georgia"I said "that's cool"Isaac said "going to go ahead to let you know the drama here is intense"Maddie said "I figured but I can handle it"Isaac said "well we wish you luck"I said "so I heard about you and Jake"Isaac said "it's difficult, but I'll get over it"I said "well I got a text from mom she needs to head home help Kenzie with homework come Amelia let's go"Maddie said we said bye to Abby and Isaac and headed to the car. "So what the new kid like"Mellisa said "he is okay, but he seems a little weird"I said "especially where he brought up the fact that you and Jake broke up"Maddie said "yeah that was weird"I said. Once we arrived to my house I said goodbye to Maddie and Mellisa, went inside changed into my pajamas, then headed to sleep.
