"True. At least I don't have to spend Valentine's Day with a guy that was never really interested in me, like I was to him."

Taehyung glanced over at Seulgi and let her words sink in. Something laced around his heart, and it burned negatively. He didn't like it, though at the same time, he didn't understand why.

"Did you L-word him?" He held his breath.

She scoffed out a small laugh at his avoidance of the word that was none other than 'love'.

"I don't think it reached that point yet," He exhaled outwardly at her answer. "I liked him, though, and if what we had continued, I could've."

"Thankfully, it didn't, then."

"It was still a waste of a month."

"Maybe in your current perspective, but don't think of it like that," He shook his head. "Yes, he fucked you over, but life is like that sometimes. These stupid situations that get hurled at you are just obstacles that make you stronger in the end. I mean, look at you, you're the strongest person I know."

Seulgi took in his meaningful words and turned to look at him, appalled. She smiled, not only for how grateful she was to have a person like Taehyung in her life, but for how beautiful it sounded coming from him.

"When did you learn that?"

"Learn, what?"

"To talk so well, you idiot."

"Shut up, I'm just good at saying the right things. I need to make you feel better one way or another." He chuckled to himself as he teasingly continued, "I can't have you crying on my shoulder all night."

She countered: "I most likely won't, but if I do, what then?"

"I'd let you. Only this time around, though."

"Thanks, Tae."

Seulgi was about to pull Taehyung into a tight hug, but the arrival of the bus had paused her movements. The doors pried open, permitting them to enter. She, then, hopped off the bench and began to tug him along with her. Though, he didn't seem to want to budge from his current position.

Towering before him, Seulgi pouted in slight urgency, "Come on, let's go home."

Taehyung eyed his bestfriend, more so in thought than anything else, before insisting, "how about we walk home today?"

"You want to walk home?"

"Yeah, maybe we can stop by the coffee shop, if you'd like. You love going there, don't you?"

"Although I want a coffee, it's okay. He's probably there."

Taehyung nodded in understanding.

"Would you like to go anywhere today?"

"Why do you ask?" She squinted at him in speculation, unaware of this side of her friend. It was different--something she's never witnessed before.

Usually, he was always teasing her or being playful, as any bestfriend would, but at this moment, when she opened up to him, he was taking everything--her--mighty seriously. Her feelings were taken into consideration, and although she knew that he would try to make her feel better, she hadn't expected this type of reaction. She couldn't explain it. It was out of his realm of behavior, and although his jokeful side was always evident somehow, he was being sincere, genuine, and understanding. This evening, every gesture of his carried something else, and the only proper word that she could use was...caring?

In her eyes, he was being very caring, and it was nice to see coming from him.

She liked it a lot, and she'd like to continue to delve into this side of him.
