Ever since her birthday, Rose had been in an incredibly good mood. It was as if her grandmother had never died and her life was starting to pick up once more, being more interesting. However, after her classes had ended on the favourite day of many people in the school - or else known as Valentine's Day - things weren't all that interesting.

Rose was sitting on her bed, getting her bag ready for the time she would have to leave the dormitory to go to the room she and Teddy had found out during the first week of school to study. For the time being, though, she couldn't go anywhere.

Angela was sitting on her own bed two beds away from her own with her glasses on while she threw a few darts on a dart board hanging on a wall. She had insisted on going to their dormitory to escape from the rest of the school and at this point, Rose couldn't help but agree.

There was at least one couple snogging on each floor, nevermind the giggling students with the lovesick smiles unable to take their eyes off of each other. It was as if Hogwarts had been contaminated by a decease, the difference being that this was a decease most wanted to carry.

They had been in that room for a while now though and she had organised and reorganised her bag more times than she'd like to count and the sound of the dart hitting the dart board was getting maddening. With a small huff, she left her bed and walked over to Angela's. She watched her closely as she sat down beside her and grabbed a dart.

"Show me how you do that thing."

A wide smile formed on her lips as she nodded and stood up to gather the darts that were left on the dart board.

"It's easy," she began as she sat down beside her once more. "You take that dart here, raise your hand over your head like that, aim and-" the dart landed on the closest circle to the middle, bringing her to grin. "See? I told you, it's easy."

"Alright," she nodded to herself as Angela moved to the side to give her some space. Rose raised her hand like she had demonstrated, aimed and threw the dart. Only for it to slam on the wall.

Angela burst out laughing and Rose couldn't help but scowl as she looked at the dart as if her closest friend had betrayed her. As Angela's laughter got louder, though, she let out a groan.

"Come on, it was my first time."

"Alright, sorry," she said with a small laugh as she grabbed a dart for herself. "Watch closely."

Rose did make sure to pay attention, and when Angela threw the dart once more, it landed exactly in the centre. Her eyes widened as Angela cheered, and with a small gulp, she grabbed a dart for herself and aimed. She let it go, only to groan as it fell on the wall once more. Angela's laughter was borderline hysterical now as Rose left the bed.

"I give up! This is way harder than I thought."

"Not everything is as easy as Quidditch, Rosie," she said with a wide smile. "I can see why you aren't a Chaser now!"

Her eyes narrowed and it seemed like Rose was ready to pounce on Angela for what would most likely be a tickling session when the door opened and Beatrice with Brenda got in the room, both of them grinning widely. For a while, Rose and Angela just watched them but then, Angela's eyes widened and she let out a squeal as she jumped up, grabbed Brenda's arm and led her away, the door slamming closed behind her.

Rose blinked in surprise as she looked at the door and then slowly turned her attention on Beatrice who was still grinning at her. "Should I react the way Angela did for some reason?"

"I asked Brenda to be my girlfriend!"

Her mouth parted as she gaped at her, her eyes widening comically. "And?"
