I used all the power I could to feel for any water nearby, and luckily I found some near the stage. To my surprise, I had even summoned some from the grass nearby. I had never been able to do that before. I was then about to attack when they suddenly stopped firing, and flew away. We then watched as the thing they flew towards was a flying baseball stadium.

"Yup, that's Erik." I say, "Always making an entrance."

As Erik drew closer, we could see parts of the stadium falling off. A set of lights almost hit Charles, but Janos moved him out of the way just before either of them got hurt. The five of us kept dodging the falling pieces until Erik just dropped the stadium around the White House. The Sentinels then patrolled the outside while one landed in the center of the walkway right behind him.

We saw Logan and Hank come up from the rubble they were hiding behind, and Janos and I did the same.

"Whatever he's here for, it can't be good." I say.

"So we turn our backs against him?" Janos asks, "On the Brotherhood?"

"There is no Brotherhood." I respond. "It's us, and them."

We then stood, my water circling me, and two tornadoes in Janos' hands while Hank let out a roar as he became a blue furry beast. Erik just looked at us before turning to the Sentinel and giving it the order.

"Do what you were made for."

The Sentinel then began to attack, first targeting Logan and Hank. They first took cover before Logan started attacking it with his bone claws. However, the two got knocked back.

"Time for us to step in." I say.

Janos nods and throws the tornadoes at the Sentinel, knocking it back. Hank then jumped on it and pulled one of the cables in its neck out before I splashed it with water, causing it to fritz up slightly. It hardly seemed to have any more effect as it threw Hank off without much effort. I then noticed Logan going to battle Erik, and went to join him. But, Erik had the clear advantage, piercing Logan with various metal bars.

"Erik, stop!" I say, even though I doubted it would do anything.

He just looked at me before he sent Logan flying with a wave of his hand. Janos tried to stop it with his wind power, but it barely did anything.

"I must say, I didn't expect this from you two." Erik says, "Tsunami. Riptide. I thought you wanted your revenge, or save your precious future."

"Believe us, we do." Janos says, "But not the way we'd like it to be."

"Not if it means our near extinction." I add.

"I see you've made up your minds, then." Erik says, before turning back to the White House, and using his power to pull out a large metal bunker. He then rips off the wall facing us and summons multiple guns, all trained on the men inside. Next, he turned all the TV cameras to face him before addressing the men. "You built these weapons to destroy us. Why? Because you are afraid of our gifts. Because we are different. Humanity has always feared that which is different. Well, I am here to tell you... to tell the world... you are right to fear us. We are the future. We are the ones who will inherit this earth, and anyone who stands in our way..." I almost felt him looking at Janos and I as he said that, "will suffer the same fate as these men you see before you. Today was meant to be a display of your power. Instead I give you a glimpse of the devastation my race can unleash upon yours. Let this be a warning to the world. And to my mutant brothers and sisters out there... I say this. No more hiding. No more suffering. You have lived in the shadows in shame and fear for too long. Come out. Join me. Fight together in a brotherhood of our kind. A new tomorrow that starts today."
