The Farmer stares hard into the strange portal. The dog angrily barking at it, and the Doctor and the others are racing after him. Something is coming out! DRRR DURR! DRRR DURR! DRRR DURR DRRR DURR DRRR DURR DRRR DURR DRRR DURR! The Cybermen were coming! James reaches the top and sees his dad standing directly in the way of the incoming Cybermen.
James:
DAD! DAD!
The Doctor and the girls reach around to the start of the next field.
Peri:
GET AWAY FROM THERE, YOU'LL BE KILLED!
Doctor:
No Peri, it's too late!
Lust:
THEY'RE COMING! THEY'RE COMING!
In sets of two, the Cybermen begin to emerge... An endless army marching out. BANG! BANG! The bullet ricochets off the head of the Cybermen, hardly marking it. The dog jumps on the leg of one of the Cybermen, biting into it. DYOO DYOO! The dog screams its last.
Farmer Tarriff:
WHISKY!
Cybermen 1:
PRIMITIVE ANIMAL. NO VALUE!
Cyber Leader:
TAKE HIM TO BE UPGRADED!
DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRI DRRR DRRI! They snatch the farmer and lift him as he yells and screams.
Farmer Tarriff:
NO! NO! LET ME GO! NO! NO!
James:
DAD!
The Cybermen turn to him, as James quickly dives under the hill they fire at him! DYOO DYOO! BANG! They miss him as the bolt bursts at the top of the hill, only inches higher above his head.
Doctor:
THIS WAY! QUICK!
Cyber Leader:
DOCTOR! AND THE SIGMA!
Doctor:
RIGHT, BACK TO THE TARDIS!
They turn back around and hurriedly rush back to the TARDIS. James then dives through the bushes in a desperate attempt to chase after them for safety.
Cyber Leader:
STUN THEM! WE NEED THEM ALIVE!
DYOO DYOO! DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI DRRR DRRI! The Doctor and friends rush back to the TARDIS, and in the very distance, James is beginning to rush down the path to meet the others in the TARDIS.
Doctor:
Everyone, inside!
DYOO DYOO! KABOOM! BANG!
Come on!
James stops at the police box.
Get in!
James:
In that old thing?
The Doctor then hurriedly pushes him in and slams the door shut. The Cybermen are beginning to scatter around the area, seemingly like hundreds of them now across the landscapes.
Cyber Leader:
LOCATE THE TARDIS! IT IS LOGICAL THAT THE SIGMA WILL BE WITH THE DOCTOR IN HIDING!
Cybermen 1:
YES LEADER!
Cyber Leader:
IN THE MEANTIME, WE WILL TAKE ANY NECESSARY STOCK WE REQUIRE. IF INCOMPATIBLE, THEY WILL BE... DELETED!
Cyber Control, the lower platform contains the massive sheet of white energy where the Cybermen travel from time zone to time zone with wires and cables leading back up to the desks and the vortex manipulator itself where the Controller observes and stands. Two Cybermen carrying the farmer return out.
Cybermen 2:
THE PATROL SHOULD BE INVADING NOW!
Cyber Controller:
EXCELLENT! REPORT!
Cybermen 3:
THIS HUMAN WAS COLLECTED ON ARRIVAL TO THE TIME ZONE! AND THE SIGMA WAS LOCATED WITH THE DOCTOR!
Cyber Controller:
WITH THE DOCTOR? EXCELLENT! NOW THE DOCTOR CANNOT ESCAPE THE CYBERMEN! AND NEITHER CAN THE SIGMA!
Farmer Tarriff:
Who are you! Where am I? What the 'eck is this place!
He is horrified to see that there are humanoids, the people of Purfeen on the left of the control room being nightmarishly converted into Cybermen, and the process was already half-completed. The blankness of their emotionless faces and the emotional inhibitors and metal on their chests terrifies the man.
What are you!
Cyber Controller:
WE ARE THE CYBERMEN! AND NOW YOU BELONG TO US! YOU SHALL BECOME LIKE US!
He was doomed.
