The fall... {Chapter #3}

"Tilina?"

"Yes Mira?"

"Did you make sure that you look decent?"

She giggled, "Yes yes Mira stop worrying"

I stood in the warm spot of afternoon sunlight and let the warm light soak into my skin. I breathed in the cool Autumn air and tried to think about the positive things in life. The reason I did this is because I wanted to seem relaxed so that they didn't think I was having a hard time surviving.

I pushed open the door and put on a smile.

"Hey guys!!!"

Mikira ran up to me and captured me in a death hug, I literally felt like I couldn't breath. I looked at Yukira with a "HELP. NEED AIR" face and she just smirked at my helplessness then turned around to her mother and asked if she could come play with me. Her mother nodded and Yuki, Mikira, Tilina and me ran outside into the cool air to finally relax and have fun.

~ TIMESKIP ~

I smiled as I lay on the grass with my friends and breathed in the calm damp air.

I was starting to become more like the happy positive me again.

"So I heard that poor kid got beat up again" I said giggling, "Oh you mean Armin?" Yukira replied propping herself onto her elbows, her long blue hair falling onto her face, "I think that was his name wasn't it..?" I replied, staring into the starting to dim sky.

It was all so normal

So....

Peaceful.

But true peace doesn't exist.

BANG

I looked up at the strike of white lightning that shook the ground and sent a ruff blast of wind to rush into my face and dry up my eyes, I blinked and rubbed my eyes to get rid of the stinging feeling.

I tilted my head to the side to look at Tilina and Mikira with their hands covering their mouths with a look of fear and shock on their faces, even Yukira's eyes where slightly wide with shock, that meant whatever they where looking at must be scary as shit.

I looked up at the creature that was towering above the wall, it was skinless, hot steam was puffing off it in waves.

I knew what it was.

It was the same thing that killed my parents.

It was

A Titan.

I stared at the giant skinless bastered that looked down upon us.

There was no doubt about it, It was going to kick the wall.

I didn't have time to think, I grabbed Tilina's hand and ran. I kept running, bumping past deadly still people, I couldn't die, not now, I remembered what my father used to say to me.

"If you ever see a titan you need to move, and fast. They are not going to wait for you."

I kept running. I knew I left Yukira and Tilina alone, and I might never see then again but I still kept running.

The floor shook and I fell, Tilina dragged behind me. I didn't wait another second to brush off the pain. The titan had kicked the wall. I heard screams everywhere, they echoed in my head and sent shivers down my spine. The screams of men, women, children. Bloodcurdling screams of pain, cries of sadness for a lost one and the occasional shouting to get to safety filled my ears.
