Silent Fight

I was about to go to lunch when my phone rang. I immediately check and saw B's picture.

"B?" I asked.

"B!!!!" She exclaimed on the other line.

"Oh? Ano meron?" I asked.

"B, agahan mo uwi mamaya ahhh. Punta tayo sa mall?" She said.

"May need kang bilhin?" I asked.

"Yeah! Doon na din tayo magdinner." She answered.

"Alright! It's a date then!" I happily said before she ended the call.

I was smiling while I put my phone down.

"Lunchtime?" Charlie said while peeping on the training room's door.

I smiled back and said, "Sure!"

I took my wallet and phone then went with Charlie to lunch. We ate at the nearest fast food. After we order in, I asked her, "Kamusta? May problema ba?"

"Wala naman masyado." She answered.

"Naku Charlie.. Yang mga ganyang sagot, halatang may pinagdadaanan..." I told her.

She just smiled and continue eating.

I held her hand and said, "Whatever it is, always remember na andito ako if you need me. Lahat ng problems or any issues nagagawan ng paraan yan. Nalalampasan..."

With her teary eyes, she stood up and sat beside me then embraced me. I was a bit shocked but I hugged her back and comfort her. After a while, she let go and wiped her tears. I took my handkerchief and gave it to her. She was glad to accept it and used it to dry her eyes. We decided to talk while walking back to the office.

She shared her problem with her family. So I gave her some advice but reminded her to pray for it and let God heal their family.

"Are you going home early today?" She asked.

"Yes! Honda ako, may date kami ehhh..." I replied.

"Enjoy! Thank you sa pakikinig. I felt better." She said.

"That's good. I'll see you tomorrow. Wag ka ng umiyak. Everything will be fine. Pagdasal natin." I told her before I went inside the training room.

I continued my class and dismissed them on time.

I took my phone and texted B before I book my ride.

B, sunduin kita?

Wag na B, see you sa mall.

Okay. Magbook na ako Uber.

Okay ingat!

I was able to book a ride and the driver arrived after a few minutes. I plugged my earphones so I can listen to my favorite playlist on the way to our meeting place.

As soon as I arrived at the entrance of the mall, I messaged B.

Dito na ko B.

Lapit na ako.

Okay. I'll wait sa NBS.

Okay.

I was checking on the new books inside when someone grabbed my hand. I smiled the moment I saw B. 

"Tara?" She said.
