The Return (Once Upon a Time sequel)

Chapter 2

"Just as I thought." Melody muttered, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Okay girl, it's time for you to make the move. You're going to walk up to him right now and invite him to your birthday party this Saturday, and don't worry, we'll be behind you every step of the way!" Tiana encouraged me.

I stared at the boy in front of me and rolled my bottom lip in between my two rows of teeth. I had to do this, if I wanted Alek to notice me, I had to make the first move in this case.

"Alright, I can do this. But only if you girls stay close." A hint of determination lingered in my voice.

"That's the spirit! Come on."

We walked over to the boys who noticed our presence almost immediately and turned to us with grins and smiles on their faces.

"Hello boys." Rapunsel greeted them.

"Rapunsel, girls." Jack, one of Alek's closest friends, replied.

"So, how was your weekend?" Tiana asked the boys.

"It was alright." Tyler shrugged.

And that's all I heard of the coversation. Yeah, I kind of zoned out as my eyes landed upon Alek. His hair was a bit messy because of the wind but it looked so hot on him that I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

Suddenly, he turned to look at me but I quickly looked away before he could notice me checking him out like the creepy stalker I am. And that's when I noticed that Rapunsel and Tiana had left me for the other boys. They walked towards the entrance of the school and I mentally cursed them for leaving me alone with...Mr. Hotstuff.

I swallowed once before turning to Alek.

His blue eyes were still on me and I kind of forgot how to breathe. I luckily snapped out of my trance.

"So...h-how was you weekend Alek?" Damn you stutter!!

"It was alright, a bit boring, but alright." He shrugged as he walked with me towards the entrance of the school.

"Oh...well, I could make next weekend more fun for you if you want."

What the hell was that?!?! Did I really just embarrass myself in front of one of the hottest guys in school?! I was so pathetic!

Fortunately, Alek found it funny and laughed.

"Oh God, I didn't mean it that way!" I quickly said, my cheeks tinting a crimson red.

"Okay, well what did you mean then?" Alek asked in his soft, husky voice.

"Well...I meant that I uhm...I'm having a party this weekend and I was wondering i-if you would like to come."

Okay, I needed to be high fived...in the face...with a chair....by myself.

"Sure, sounds fun!" Alek replied almost immediately.

We both smiled shyly at each other and looked away as my cheeks turned red again.

"Great, it starts at eight. I'll see you there." I informed him and then quickly walked to my first class which was Biology.

As I entered my class, I spotted Tiana and Rapunsel sitting in the far back of the class. They waved me over.

"You two are so dead when school ends." I said as I sat down.

"What, why?" Tiana asked confused.

"You said that you would stand beside me when I talked to Alek!" I answered.

"Look, we're sorry. But you had to talk to him alone, this way, you'll both feel more comfortable around each other." Tiana said.

"And where did you read this tip Dr. Sues?" I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"A magazine." She replied truthfully.

I rolled my eyes and got my books out. Mr. Davenport entered the class and that's how my school day started.
