Ch. 16 My first day of school.

(Echo pov)
"Echo." Some one said as they rub my cheek. I moan a little. I hear a chuckle. "Echo time to get up." I hear and I realize it's Asher. "Why?" I ask. He chuckles. "It's time for school." He said. "Oh right sorry." I said as I look at him. "It's ok baby. I know it's your every first day and I know you're not a morning person." Asher said and kissed my forehead. I hug him and he hugs back. "Let's go. Now this is how it will be for the next ten months." Asher said and kissed my head. "Ok now let me get dressed." I said. We let go and I got dressed in the bathroom. "You look great let's go." Asher said. "And you say they like I was going to spend two hours in the bathroom." I said. "I know and I was joking. You know that right?" Asher asked. "Yes I know that." I said. We went to the dinning hall and quickly ate breakfast. "Ok shift." Asher said. I shift and I follow Asher to a car. "This is my car. Get in." Asher said as he opens the passenger side. I hop in and he pets me. He closed the door and got in the driver seat. He drove to a school. He parked and looked at me. He pets me. "Well this is my school. Now I don't have a leash for you so I want you to stay close to me. Like really close." Asher said. I nod and he got out. He let me out and we went in. Asher went to his locker and opened it. He got some books out and closed his locker. He walked down the hall and I follow. We get to a class room and he walks in. He sat down and I sit beside him. "Stay there." He told me and I did as told. Then the teacher comes in and he looks at me. "Mr. Wood why doesn't your wolf have a leash?" He asked. "Mr. Walker, she doesn't need a leash." Asher said. "What makes you say that?" Mr. Walker asked. "She isn't going any where." Asher said. "How about we test her?" Mr. Walker asked. He pulled out a steak and threw it across the room. I just lay down. Mr. Walker looks impressed. "See she won't leave my side." Asher said. "How much do you beat her?" Mr. Walker asks. I flinch. "I don't. She is perfectly submissive with out it." Asher said. "Ok fine. Welcome class let's begin." Mr. Walker said. Some of the other pets look at me and I look out the window. Mr. Walker passed out a work sheet and all the kids work on it. Asher would glance at me every once in a while. After a while they pass up the work sheets and then a bell rang. Every one got up and I did when Asher did. I follow him through the hall and he went to his locker. He got another binder and walked down the hall some more. I follow and we went to another class. I sit beside him and he pets me. We went through the same routine from the other room except the teacher didn't question why I don't have a leash. Then a bell rang again and every one got up. I follow Asher down the hall again. Then my stomach growls and Asher chuckles. "Don't worry it's lunch time." He said. I smile and my tail wags a little. I follow him down the hall and we went out side. He sat down at a tree and leaned against it. Asher set a plate of steak in front of me. I just look at him. "That's for you." He said through a chuckle. I eat the steak as my tail thumps against the ground. Asher eats and when I was done I lay down. When Asher finished eating he works on paper work. "Echo. Shift." Asher said. I shift to human. "Yes Master?" I ask. "You know you aren't supposed to call me that no matter where we are." He said as he pulled me into his lap. "Sorry Asher." I said. He kissed my head. "It's ok baby. It's your first day of school and I bet you're a little scared." Asher said. "A little." I said. He raps one arm around me and pulls me against him. "And I understand that. There are a lot of people here." Asher said. I relax slightly and nod. He rested his chin on my head and worked on the paper work. After a while Sarah comes over. "Hey Asher." She said. Asher smiled up at her. "Hey. Is Chloe here today?" Asher asked as he makes me lean on him. "I think so yeah." Sarah said. "Any way how are you Echo?" Sarah asked. "I'm good. You?" I ask. "I'm tired." She said. "Oh hey Asher Every one is talking about that threat made against Echo." Sarah said. "Well turns out it was a threat made on me through Echo." Asher said and Sarah gasp. Asher told her about it all. When he finished she gasps. "Echo are you ok?" She asked. "Yeah I'm fine." I said. "Well I have to go." Sarah said. "Hey Sarah could you not tell any one about that?" Asher asked. "Of course. I wasn't going too." Sarah said. "Ok see ya." Asher said. Sarah waved bye and ran off. Asher worked on the paper work and then held out an apple. "Eat it baby." He whispers in my ear. I take the apple and eat it. "Asher won't people get suspicions when they see you giving me special treatment?" I ask as I turn half way to face him. "Maybe but every one has to find out that you're my girl friend some time." He said. "I don't think I'm ready for that." I said. "Echo baby it will be ok. I will protect you." Asher said and made me lean on him. I nod. "That's my girl." He said. I smile a little. His girl. I like the sound of that. I finish the apple and lean on Asher. He rested his chin on my head. I'm sitting side ways in his lap and his arm is rapped around my front. I close my eyes. "Asher." Some one said and I look over. I see a teacher. "Can I help you Mr. Hardwood?" Asher asked. "Well I wanted to know if you want to put your pet in a pet club where we take your pet for the day and care for them." Mr. Hardwood said. The way he said care made my tense. "No thank you Mr. Hardwood. But I would rather keep Echo with me." Asher said. I relax a bit. "That thing has a name?" Mr. Hardwood asked. Asher growls and I tense again. "Yes." Asher said. "Ok what ever." Mr. Hardwood said and left. "Are you ok baby?" Asher asked. "Yeah sorry I still get scared when you growl." I said shyly. "That's ok baby. But know I would never hurt you ok?" Asher asked. I nod and lean on him again. He rests his chin on my head and I close my eyes. "Asher? What were those bells for?" I ask. "Those are to signal the end of class and the beginning." Asher said. I nod. "Will this be the routine every day?" I ask. "Yes baby. Is this ok for you?" Asher asked. "Yes it's fine I was just wondering." I said. He smiles and makes me lean on him. We go into the same position and I close my eyes. He moves his thumb back and forth on my side. I smile a little. "Ok. Hop up and shift back." Asher said after a while. I nod and scoot out of his lap. I shift to wolf and he got up. He walked back into the school and I follow. He went to another class room and we did the same thing. When the bell rings Asher got up and I follow him down the hall. Then some one came on the speakers. "If Prince Asher will come to the front office I would like to talk with you." A voice said. Asher groans and puts his stuff away. He looks at me. "Come on." He said. I follow him to the office. We went inside and a man looked at us. "Ah there you are. Please step into my office. Your pet can come too." He said. We step into his office and he jesters for Asher to sit. He does and I stand beside him. "Mr. Walker told me that your pet doesn't have a leash and that against the rules. I will have to ask that either you leave your pet at home or you get her a leash." The man said. "Ok fine. I'll get her a leash." Asher said. The man nods. "Good. Now go back to class." He said. Asher got up and I follow him out. As we walk down the hall Chloe comes over. She glares at me and I step back. Asher growls a little. I continue following him as he walks. "Hey Asher baby." Chloe said. Asher gagged. "Chloe you know I have a girl friend so leave it." Asher growled. "But that girl friend should be me not an animal." Chloe said. "No." Asher stated. Chloe turned towards me and I got in front of Asher who is standing at his locker. She turns and leaves. I sigh with relief. Then Darrell comes over. "Hey Asher." He said. Then he saw me. "Is this Echo?" He asked. "The one and only." Asher said. "Any ways when is the group getting together?" Darrell asked. "How about the Saturday after the blood moon?" Asher asked. "Ok. I assume Echo will come." Darrell said. "Yeah. Do you guys mind? I mean I would leave her at home but I don't trust my brothers and my sister is too high strong for Echo. She would just scare her." Asher said. "I could stay with the pack and Duke." I thought. "We don't care. I really want to get to know her." Darrell said. "Ok. I'll bring her. But since it's her first time I may let her stay in wolf form." Asher said. "Alright." Darrell said. They talk a little longer and then a bell rings. "We better go see ya." Asher said and he went to another class. "Last class of the day." Asher muttered. He pet me and makes me lay my head down on his leg. I flatten my ears against my head and he rests his hand on my head. Then the teach comes in and I take my head off his leg. He took his hand off me and glanced at me. "I'm ok I just don't want to get in trouble with the teacher." I mind link with him. He nods. But seems shocked I will explain mind linking to him later. We went through this class and by the end of it I'm almost a sleep. Then the bell rings and I shake my head. Asher looks at me. "You good?" He asks. I nod and yawn. Asher chuckles. "Maybe you can take a nap during lunch from now on." He said. I nod and we got up. He went to his locker and got what he needed. Then we went to his car and he let me in. I curl into a ball and he gets in the driver seat. This car has a bench seat in the front so I set my head in his lap and Asher pets me. He started to drive and I fell a sleep.
