He lit up the butterflies from her head to her toes,

but he always goes.

When he finally comes back and shows

her infatuation for him grows.

But how can she even be mad

when all he wants to do is be a good dad?

He'll never understand what he had.

He comes back, but the butterflies are getting tired.

With him she felt so inspired.

Soon, his promise to her had backfired.

He goes back to her only because she makes him think it's required.

That phone call made her heart drop.

It felt like her breathing came to a full-stop.

She heard the other screaming and talking with a cop.

As that mans voice filled her ears speaking full of regret

all she could do was beg with that background screaming that he'd go downstairs and get all the help he could possibly get.

Still to this day she cannot forget

the panic, the fear, the taste of blood to this butterfly's death threat.

She only thought "Maybe I can finally save him."

She knew the chance was slim.

Finally, she woke up to realize she needed butterflies to fly and he could barely swim.
