"Luke, I'm scared." Ashton said to Luke as they sat in his bedroom watching Luke draw.

"Of what?" Luke asked.

"Puberty." Ashton, shivering.

"What's that? A monster or something?" Luke asked.

Ashton laughed at the boy but shook his head, "No it's... I don't know how to explain it."

"Well why are you scared of it." Luke asked.

"Because..." Ashton said, "Louis said that your voice changes."

"So?"

"I don't want my voice to change. I like it the way it is." Ashton explained.

"Has Louis voice changed yet?" Luke asked, adding some flowers to the garden he was drawing.

"I don't think so." Ashton said.

Luke nodded. Ashton knew that Luke was too young to understand this stuff. Hell, Ashton barely understood it as well. All he knew is that he didn't want it to happen to him. He was scared of it and he didn't know why.

"Has Ben's voice changed?" Ashton asked Luke.

Luke thought about it for a moment, "I guess?"

Ashton sunk farther into the bed. Luke was no help at all. But he loved him anyway.

"D'ya like it?" Luke asked Ashton, showing him his drawing.

Ashton nodded, "Put a huge Monster Truck right there." He said, pointing to a spot on the paper.

Luke gasped, "No way!"

"Why? It'll make it manlier." Ashton said.

Luke frowned, "I like it the way it is."

Ashton shrugged, "Okay. But it's really girly." He said without much thought.

Little did he know that those simple words stayed with Luke all night. He couldn't get them out of his head. He liked it. He didn't care if it was girly. He liked it.
