6. Secret crush♥️

Mira has known Vikranth since her childhood, in fact she shares some of her earliest childhood memories with him. However, Vikranth left Delhi a few months after Mira joined school because his parents were posted in Ethiopia. Mira's father was also transferred shortly after. So Mira didn't meet Vikranth and his family for over a decade. Over the years, Mira would hear from Gopal uncle and Padma aunty once in a while and thanks to Facebook, she could see their family photos.

Mira was around thirteen years old when her parents were posted in Australia. One day, Mira rediscovered some old photos of her early childhood while clearing her room. Out of her photos, most of them were taken with Vikranth. When Mira went through the photos, she saw herself holding Vikranth's hands in almost all of them.

That day, Mira saw Vikranth in a new light🥰, she didn't know what it was but she was curious about him, she wanted to meet him and get to know him as a person. It took her a few years to realise that Mira had an intense crush on Vikranth in her teens where she would fantasise about him. 💗

Her feelings for him became stronger when Mira was in 10th standard and had gone to Chennai with her family for vacations. At the time, Padma aunty and Srikanth were staying in their own apartment together as Gopal uncle was posted in Yemen.

Vikranth was studying in Chicago and had come to Chennai as well for vacations. Mira's family stayed over with Padma aunty in Chennai for about two days. In those two days, Mira learnt a lot about Vikranth's character and personality. Although he appeared to be quiet around her, Vikranth was always very playful as he would be teasing his brother and annoy him. 😁

Mira learnt about his love for basketball (which he was a pro at, thanks to his height and physique), when she would see him dribble the ball and scare the maid who would come to clean their apartment. Vikranth would also mock his mother, who was always very concerned about his playful-behaviour.

Mira's best memory was when Vikranth, Srikanth and her were playing monopoly; Vikranth was the banker in the game and would annoy her and Srikanth by deliberately giving them lots of small change. Although Mira was only 16, she saw the kind of bond and love that Vikranth shared with his mother and brother, which intensified her appreciation and feelings for him. 😊

The Chennai trip was the last time Mira saw Vikranth. After that, well.....life just happened for Mira as she became busy with studies and college applications. When she got to college, a series of unfortunate and unexpected events brought a lot of mental and emotional changes in Mira. She overcame a lot obstacles emotionally, which allowed her to prioritise her studies and work such that she ended up avoiding guys or men after that.....

As of now, Vikranth was just a secret teenage crush locked up in the back of Mira's mind, and nothing more.
