Chapter Twenty Four: 7th Council Member

"How's talking with them?" Seryosong tanong ko kay Helios as we lay here in his bed.

Kung iniisip nyo na may nangyari saamin, no you're wrong. We're too exhausted and we just want to be on each other's arms and JUST talk about things.

"It did go well." Sagot nya saakin. Helios pulled me closer to him kaya ngayon ay halos magkapalit na ang mukha naming dalawa dahil sa sobrang lapit.

"I want to see them." Halos pabulong ng sabi ko bago pinakawalan ang isang malalim na buntong-hininga.

"Maybe tomorrow. Let them rest. They're staying on Alta Ville with the fire mages. They still don't know about your father being dead because I did not told them about it. I thought that you should be the one informing them so let them rest first before you told them about that." I nodded in defeat because of what he said.

Magiging mahirap ang lahat bukas but I hope they'll understand. This is not only for an alliance but for their safety too.

Sa pagpunta nila dito, para na din nilang diretsahang sinabi na kumakampi na sila saamin at tinatalikuran na ang Zapiro Night.

I must not fail them. Dapat kong iaasure sakanila na parehas kami ng pananaw ng ama ko.

Lives would be at risk once again. We can't really guarantee na walang mamamatay sa nalalapit na digmaan. But we'll try to equip them para mabawasan ang posibilidad na madami ang masawi. We would be trying to equip them with skills na maaari nilang magamit sa pakikipaglaban.

We're no god. Hindi namin kayang protektahan ang lahat.

They need to protect themselves dahil hindi sa lahat ng oras nasa paligid lang kami at handang iligtas sila.

Maaga kaming nagising para magreport officially sa council office.

Pagdating namin doon ay nandun na sina Elder Saffiro at ang iba pang myembro ng council.

Olivia Bayne, Maximus Warner, Carlaine Vaus, Victorio Graile, Elisha White and Gregorio Torz. They compose the 7 pillars of Heleina Cross council.

But the 7th position is currently vacant dahil sa pagkamatay ni Elder Gregorio. Ang alam ko ay naghahanap na sila ng replacement for the position dahil hindi maaaring gumawa ng kahit anong desisyon ang council kapag kulang ang boto. If one seat is vacant, they can't be called council of Heleina Cross.

Naupo kami sa dalawang bakanteng upuan na nasa harap nilang anim after greeting them with a salute.

"Before we start this meeting, I would like to inform both of you na nakahanap na ang council ng ipapalit kay Gregorio. Siguro ay paparating na din sya kaya hintayin na lamang natin ang pagdating nya." Elder Saffiro said to us making both of our forehead crease.
