New Boy

Maya's Point it view

Its days like this when I can't stand being in school even more then I already do.

Riley and I just walked from the subway. Leaving behind the cutest boy ever.

Lucas!

Even his name is pretty. But that doesn't even matter anymore. It's not like I'll ever see him again and besides that Riley's not speaking to me because she thinks I flirted with the guy developed a crush on in the span of about twenty minutes.

So we got to school, heading into our first period which was with the worst teacher in the world... Just kidding. It's Mr Matthew's.

So as we sitting in class, chilling, when all of a sudden theres a knock on the door.

Mr Matthew's walks over to the door, only to reveal none other then the subway boy.

"Uh hi, I'm Lucas Friar, is this Mr Matthew's class?" he was so cute, all confused.

Mr Matthew's looked him up and down before he spoke

"Well good morning Lucas" he smiled a faint but at that moment Lucas's eyes caught mine and a broad, sparkling smile appeared on his face

I have never blushed more or looked away faster from anyone in my life

Mr Matthew's cleared his throat

"Uh Mr Friar you can take a seat in the far back of the class" he spoke "Far away from Maya" he glasses at the blonde girl before turning his attention to his daughter

"Riley care to explain why Maya's blushing at the new boy" he asked

"Actually daddy, we met Lucas this morning in the subway and MAYA was blatantly flirt-" I cut her off so quickly "We were not flirting. We had a conversation that was if you had given me a chance to talk was about you" I was so angry at her, nobody would ever understand

"Oh" that's all the words she could muster up

"Yeah, oh" I rolled my eyes "I was telling him how much of a nice person you were and how you deserved someone like him that's was sweet and nice too, okay?" I stood up out of my chair

"Maya I'm sorry" she said she was being insincere and I wanted to just push past it because she was my best friend but it sucked.

She was always like this and but I never said anything about it. I love Riley but she was and always will be put ahead of me. She even has a crush on the guy I "dated " even if it was for only two seconds.

I can't anymore with Riley. I think I just need a break from her and everyone else in my life. Maybe I should run away... But to where is the question.

I let out a huff before I turned around and walk towards the class door. Stopping I turned to look back at Riley, before giving her a sad smile.

"No you're not" before walking away, down the school hall and out the front door. Walking slowly through the parking lot of the school almost reaching past the gate before I  heard my name being yelled.
