Surprise

Lucas never liked surprises even in his younger years he hated when he didn't know the end outcome. That's why he couldn't gamble in his older days.

That all changed one day.

It was around 7:30 when Lucas had gotten home, to he shared house with his wife, from work. Completely exhausted he plopped on to the couch, kicking his feet up on the coffee table, closing his eyes.

"Baby? You home? " his wife's gentle voice yelled from somewhere else in the house

"Yeah, I'm in the living room" he yelled back not bother to open his eyes or stand up

"Will you come up here please?" she called

"Coming" he reluctantly stood up, heading towards the spiral staircase in the middle of house, walking to his bedroom

Once reaching the door he called out to his wife

"One sec, I'm just putting on the finishing touches" she giggled softly

"What's going on babe?" he asked concerned for the situation going on with his wife

Before he could even comprehend what was going his beautiful 5ft wife walked out of the en suite bathroom in a red silk mid thigh party dress with black heels

"What do you think?" she asked doing a little twirl in the dress

Lucas' mouth hung open, just staring at her in awe of her beauty

"I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun tonight" he whispered walking towards her, only to stop when she put her hand out

"Whats wrong?" he suddenly panicked

"Nothing is wrong baby, I just went shopping and I have more to show you" she smiled

"I can't just tear the dress right now?" he blurt out

"Lucas" she giggled

"What you can show me all the other clothes later " he offered trying to get through all the boring things quickly

"Okay fine" "Yes"

"But I want to give you a gift first" hearing him groan, she laughed walking back into the bathroom

After a few moments she walked out with a black rectangular box with a larger red bow on it

"Oh a fancy box" he laughed "I wonder what it could be" he slowly peeled the bow off the box and even more slowly lifted the lid

His eyes widen for a few seconds... Then he was silent

"Lucas say something please" Maya asked nervously

"I can't believe this" he whispered "I'm gonna be a dad" he suddenly jumped up tacking Maya onto their

"Lucas stop.... Stop" she giggled

"Oh crap, am I hurting the baby?" she shook her head no

"When did you find out?" he questioned the blonde staring at the strange pregnancy test

"This morning" she smiled

"I love you so much" he hugged her tightly, careful not to squish the baby

"I love you too, I'm so glad you liked your surprise I know you hate them" she leaned into his body

"I could never hate a surprise from you Maya" he said softly caressing her cheek

"Thank you" she smiled "now about the dress" she smirked

"It's good for the baby" he laughed rolling on top of her with giggles filling the air
