I've changed. Sort of.

Part 5

"Huh?", Taehyung was even more confused,"how would Jungkook know anything? I haven't told him or talked to him because i was waiting until Minjae and I were resolved. I wanted for Jungkook and I to start off right, not start off hurting someone else in the processes"

"Ohhhhhh so thats why you haven't talked to him", Jimin says looking at Yoongi a bit worried.

"Yeah. I mean. What did you guys think? That i was going to leave Jungkook and go back to Minjae?"

"Oh honey.....um....its not us that thinks that. Well, not until today anyways....its Jungkook. He went to the coffee place you and Minjae were at and saw you two....kiss. It hurted him pretty badly so he left. He isn't going to the beach house with us", Jimin says.

"What the fuck!? No no no. ugh. Thats not what happened at all. I mean. Yes we kissed but it was more of Minjae giving me our last goodbye kiss. And it caught me off guard. I felt nothing. I even made it clear to Minjae that i love Jungkook".

"Ooooo damn. ok i see. So thats what he saw. That fucking idiot. Taehyung...he left already. Try calling him. All he said was he needed to go somewhere to get some closure", Yoongi said.

Taehyung stood there trying to think so hard where Jungkook might of gone, and then it hit him.

"I think i know where he went. I'll call you guys once this is all sorted out", Taehyung said rushing to pack his bags.

"Lets hope so", Jimin says shaking his head as Yoongi humed in agreement.

Taehyung got on the next bus, knowing he'll probably be one or two hours behind Jungkook. As soon as the bus stopped at his old home town, he raced off to the only place he could think of to find Jungkook. The old treehouse behind the school. It was where they often hung out together when it all started and where Taehyung had lost his V-card to Jungkook. It held many important memories for them, so if anywhere Jungkook would have gone for closure....it should be here.

However, when Taehyung finally got to the old treehouse spot, the place was completely gone, and in its place a new gym for the high school he use to go too. Most importantly, Jungkook was nowhere to be found. It would have helped if Jungkook had picked up his call, but even his phone was disconnected.

Just fucking great, Taehyung thought. He made the trip here to only chase a thought that maybe Jungkook still considered this place as special as he does. So with a heavy heart Taehyung turns to leave with luggage still in his hands, but instead his head slams into a very hard human wall.

"Ow! Who the- have you ever heard of personal space?", Taehyung says rubbing his forehead.

"You know you bumped into me too", Jungkook said also rubbing his forehead but smiling like an idiot.

"KOOKIE! I...i thought....you idiot why did you run off like that? Why didn't you let me explain? WHY TF IS YOUR PHONE DEAD?"

Jungkook pulls him into a hug and holds him tightly, "Tae...i didn't expect to see you here. Sorry, i turned my phone off because i thought i needed alone time to get over you and to face facts that....that you chose Minjae"

"NO! Again you're an idiot. Yoongi told me what you THOUGHT you saw. Look, he kissed me as a goodbye kiss and i made it clear to him that YOU are the one that i love!"

"You love me?" Jungkook says wide eyed with his bunny smile.

"No shit. Why else am i here? Ugh...but our treehouse isn't even here anymore...."

"Yeah i asked the school. They said the students needed a new gym more than an old broken treehouse that nobody uses......but how did you know i'd be here?"

"Because.....i....i'd come here too if i were you. This was the place where i knew that you were the one for me. Jungkook, i never in my life loved anyone the way that i love you. This place....its special"

"It is. And i felt it too. That night had confirmed everything for me. That i love you with all that i am. Tae....can we, can we start over? Can you give this idiot another chance?"

"Yes. a million times yes. And have always been yours Jeon Jungkook. Always".

With all that said, Jungkook pulls Taehyung in and they kiss each other softly, lingering just a bit right before leaving together to their new start.

I know this fic is shorter than most of my work, but if you read my first notes on this then you'd know I said this isn't my favorite. Originally it was supposed to carry on longer than this but because I wrote with the flow and how i feel, often times I get stuck on how to want the characters to progress. While I wanted taekook to have a happy ending, as I was writing I kept feeling like they both made some choices that makes it hard for me to just give them that. So I had to cut it short and do with what I can. I went for a hopeful ending, hoping that somewhere along the way they'll be happier with this 'fresh' start. But not going to lie, lol i slick wrote them into people i thought didn't deserve one another :( 

Anyways. I'm pretty torn about this story. I love how i went about it. I just wish it went differently. (I know im like the writer and i literally control the narrative lmao but again i wanted them to make realistic choices. Be it negative or positive depending on their characteristics).

I have a LOT of taekook fics I'm working on ( like 7) but I've just been busy and write only when i miss carrying on a certain story. Good news is I'm half way with some of them, so hopefully i can share them with you all soon. :)
