ROSE'S POV

I've never tried a polyjuice potion and I swear to merlin I never will. I could feel my features change as I felt taller than before. I opened my eyes to look at their expressions but no one was paying any attention to me so with the most horrible Scottish accent I blurted out

" Why are my students out of bed at this hour?!! " I tried to sound like headmistress but passed only barely

" Lily you sure are a potter " I heard Hermione saying it

" So the potion worked I guess? "I asked

" Yeah, it did. Very beautifully if I may add " lily Evans replied

After I was certain that Lily's potion worked like a charm we decided that I should start with madam Rosmerta about the infamous death eaters attacks.

The rest of them decided to guard the entrance of Hogsmeade and few impatient idiots wanted to steal candies from honeydukes until I returned.

I stood in front of the three broomsticks wearing enlarged pajama pants and a cloak of headmistress's size and finally knocked on the door

An elderly woman cautiously opened the door. She was around our headmistress's age but by looking at her features it was certain that once upon a time she was a very beautiful woman.

" Minerva? " madam Rosmerta asked

" Hello, Rosmerata," I replied with a small smile

" How do I owe you a visit? " she asked in a friendly manner and welcomed me inside

It was the very first time that I saw the three broomsticks being so quite. Obviously, it was night time but still, the silence was very new to me.
Two women were cleaning the tables and I recognized them as Madam Rosmerata's daughters

" So you'll have your regular drink I suppose? " madam rosmerata asked as she sat beside me on one of the tables

" Of course," I said trying to keep a neutral face. I didn't know what did the headmistress drank. And I really hope it wasn't something bitter. I hate bitter things and people.

Luckily it was just gilly water.

" So,  is everything alright? " madam rosmerata asked again

" It is. But I wanted to make sure that you and your kids were fine " I answered with a solemn expression

" Barely survived! Death was just an inch close from me! " The old woman's expression changed from being calm to frightened.

" Glad you're well. I apologize for not coming to visit you earlier. Too busy handling the school at the moment where everyone's a bit shook up " I said with an apologetic look

" But Minerva we just met four days ago," madam rosmerata said with a chuckle

" Oh !....of course.....  You're right obviously. Guess slipped out of my mind " I said trying very hard to not sound awkward at all

" I'm afraid old age is getting the better of you Minnie," rosmerata said as she playfully pushed me

I let out a chuckle. But I was losing time. I need to know about that incident

" That day must have been so terrible. What I don't understand is that why now? It's been ages since the last death eaters attack. I thought they were gone for good "

"  I thought that too. But that day... It was horrible " the old woman muttered while she covered her face with her wrinkled hands

" Do you want to talk about it? "
