Chapter 13

We pulled into Tay’s driveway, and I led Will to her room. She had purposely left her door unlocked because she knew we were coming. She probably didn’t want to go answer the door because “A”, she was making out with Matt, or “B”, she was just plain lazy. To tell you the truth, I think it was a mix of both. I laughed at my thoughts.

I walked into her room to see the lights already dimmed. I loved her room; it was so big, and it even had a mini fridge. I saw Matt lying on the bed. I loved Matt. He was perfect for Taylor. She had a crush on him, but she didn’t like to be tied down.

Matt was tall and built. He had shaggy brown hair and green eyes. Sure he was cute, but not as cute as Will. Jeez, I could be so cheesy at times. I hopped on Taylor’s bed as she put the DVD in.

She turned around and took one look at me on her bed next to Matt and shook her head.

“No way, on the floor. He’s mine.” She said with her hand on her hip and trying to act cool.

I started laughing as I slumped to the floor.

“Some hospitality you got here.” I mumbled, but she still heard me. I felt a pillow whack the back of my head. “Oh hell no!”

I grabbed a pillow, and we started a pillow fight. I looked at Tay and mouthed “get them.” She nodded, and we snuck up behind the boys and were about to hit them, when they both attacked us.

“You think we’re that stupid?” Matt asked as he was on top of Tay.

“Well…” Tay and I said simultaneously and began laughing.

The boys started to tickle us, and I couldn’t breathe. I pushed Will off me, and I stuck my tongue out at him.

“If you would excuse me, but I would love to watch-uh-what’s the movie?” I asked Taylor.

“I forget. I’ve had it for a while though.” She replied while pushing Matt off her.

“Sounds amazing.” I answered sarcastically.

“No need to be snippy.” She stuck her tongue out at me.

The movie started, and we all were silent. Once the blood and gore came on, I could hear Taylor wince. She loved scary movies, but she hated blood. I turned around to see her head buried into Matt’s shoulder.

“Wimp.” I muttered and turned around.

My back really started to hurt because I was on the floor. I pushed my back against the bed, and I tried to get comfy. It wasn’t working. My neck started hurting, so I rested it on Will’s shoulder.

He looked down at me and smiled. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer. I loved being close to him; it made me feel safe being in his arms.

By the time the movie was over, I was exhausted. Tryouts really kicked my ass. The boys left, and Tay and I were getting ready to climb into bed.

“So, I can’t believe that you didn’t make out with him once. Well, I don’t know maybe you did. I couldn’t see that well considering I was on the floor.” I teased.

“We did a little before you came, and a little during the movie, but I was too tired.” She yawned.

“Yeah I know what you mean.” I stated.

“Like you should be talking anyways. You and Will should already be a couple. I bet you haven’t even kissed. You are always telling me how I should get a boyfriend. You hypocrite.” She muttered. I threw a pillow at her, and she was about to throw one back, when I threw my hands up in surrender.

“Actually, we have kissed, but I want him to ask me out, not the other way around.” I said as I laid down.

She was silent. I turned to look at her. She had her mouth hung open like an idiot. I gave her a confused look.

“You kissed him, and you didn’t tell me? What kind of friendship is this? Tell me everything.” She gushed.

I sighed; I knew I would have to tell her eventually.

“It was the night when Jace first got arrested. Will and I were on our way back from the bowling alley where we had made a bet. If he won, he would get to kiss me goodnight. After the Jace incident, he took me home, and I kissed him. It was amazing, but he left after that, so I don’t know how he liked it.” I babbled.

“Oh my God! I just love Will. He is so sweet. I wish Matt was all sweet like that.” She squealed.

I really hated it when she got all girly.

“Yeah, yeah. Let’s get to bed; we have tryouts tomorrow.” I told her as I closed my eyes.

She turned the lights off, and I fell asleep.
