I woke up panting, clothes drenched with my sweat. All I know is I was running and running, getting away from the monster inside my dream.

It was dream.

Just a dream.

No, a nightmare.

I shook my head, removing all the memories of it and clearing my head. It's my first day. My head should be cleared from that kind of things.

"Are you ready for your first day at your new school?" My mom asked me while sipping on her coffee.

"Ugh, no mom. I already told you I don't wanna transfer to a new school but you and dad keeps on insisting it." She started chuckling placing her mug on the table. I really do hate transferring. It means new adjustments to make and to make it clear I'm not the friendly type of a person.

"I'm sorry honey, this is the nearest place to your dad's work and your new school is only 10 minutes away. Please do understand us." My mom placed her hand on the top of my hand before going back on eating her pancakes.

I looked at the time and it shows 7:30 am. "Mom I need to go, my class starts at 8 am and I still need to find my room." I place a soft kiss on her forehead before grabbing my bag on the couch.

"Be safe!"

"Copy mom!" I walked my way to my new school well it's only 10 minutes walk so why bother using my car. I reached the main entrance of my school and I saw a lot of students roaming around. Well it's only 7:40. I felt everyone started staring at my direction making me uncomfortable. What do they want from me? It's like they wanna punch me or something. I bowed my head and continued walking when I bumped into someone.

"Watch where you're going bitch." The girl with a short pink hair said. Did she just call me a bitch?! I was about to answer back when I saw her with her friends. 2 girls and 4 boys. They all started laughing at me, pushing my shoulder harshly.

She raised her eyebrow at me. "Don't you know who I am?"

"I think she's new here." The boy with a blue hair said. Oh crap Jennie. First day but you already have an enemy. But truth be told it's not my fault, they are walking here like they owned this bull crap university. "I'm not asking you Taehyung. Are you not gonna answer me?!" Everyone just stared at us maybe enjoying the drama that I assume I am part with. She was about to slap me when a hand stopped her.

"Woah, Ryujin. It's first day of school and you're already bullying someone." I heard the girl behind me said.

"Are you really siding with her Lisa? I thought you like me?" The girl pouted in front of her well basically in front of me. Am I really being sandwiched in this love affair?! Oh my god Jennie what have you done?

"Like you? I never told you I like you Ryujin. Don't assume things so if you'll excuse me I will be dragging this new student with me before you start bullying her." She dragged me away from the scene making me sighed in relief.

"So what year are you?" She asked.

"Ah, 4th year." She stopped walking that made my forehead bumped on her back.

"Would you look at that! We're classmates! I'm Lisa!" She smiled at me offering her hand for a hand shake.

"R-Really? I'm Jennie." She nodded her head making her bangs bounce a little. Cute.

"Just an advice Jennie since you're new here. Trust no one inside this Campus. They will never help you. They will just drag you down with them." She lead me inside the room and we sat just beside each other.

"Trust no one? Including you?" I joked. She shrugged her shoulder before speaking. "Maybe?" She giggled.

"Can I ask the reason?"

"Well, apparently everyone is an egocentric bullies-competitive shits so in order to survive our senior year you should just trust yourself. Just rely on yourself. To tell you the truth, that's what I've been doing since I transferred here. Well, I do talk to them but I don't put so much trust." She rest her chin on her palm before giving me a wink.

The teacher arrived inside our messy room placing his things on his desk. "Clean the room now!" He shouted but the students just stared at him and some of them are just laughing. What the hell?

I think Lisa saw my confused state so she whispered something on my ear. "You should get used to it. Everyone here is a spoiled brat. They have money to save their asses for being kicked out. That's how money works here inside our campus." I looked at her squinting my eyes a little.

"Are you one of them?" She smiled at me before shaking her head no.

"Nope. I am competitive but I don't need money to be on top. I can do that myself."

"Good to know." The teacher just released a deep sighed knowing that he can't control the students.

"Fine if that's what you all want." He opened the projector starting to teach his lesson but apparently no one is listening to him excluding me, Lisa and the two girls in front of us. This University is a mess I might say. They just use their money to graduate not their efforts. I pity them.

It's already lunch time when Lisa said that she'll just do something so I started eating alone inside the cafeteria.

"Oh, look who's here. The annoying transferee." The girl earlier sat across my seat placing her food on the table same goes with her minions. I just want a quiet lunch. What did I do to deserve this?! She poured her milkshake on my food and everyone started laughing again. Am I really getting bullied? What a crappy day! I need Lisa I think she can handle this guys, besides this is her friends. I saw the two girls just beside my table I think they are the girls who's sitting in front of us earlier. They are just eating silently. They are not laughing at me but they constantly glancing at my direction showing their pity at me.

"You should eat that. Come on." Taehyung also poured his sauce on my drinks. "And drink that." No one tried to save me they are just watching and laughing.

"Ryujin. I told you not to mess with her right? You're so stubborn." I heard Lisa's voice just behind me and again I sighed in relief. 

"Why are you protecting this girl?! I thought you're one of us?!" The other guy shouted.

"Hanbin I'm your friend but I never agreed on that bullying thing. Man, let her live it's her first day here in our school. You're scaring her." Lisa placed her arm around my shoulder. "Let's go." And again we walked away from them.

Silence.

She pat my head gently before breaking the silence. "I'm sorry about that. I should have join you."

"No, it's okay. It's not your fault and for the second time. Thank you so much for saving me." She smiled at me and I showed her my gummy smile.

"You should go home now. All classes are cancelled. Don't ask me why because I don't know either." We stopped just in front of the entrance, I bowed at her before bidding my goodbye.

"Thank you again. Be safe." I waved at her and she waved back.

"Welcome and you too. Be safe." Then I left.
