Now you know the story of me and my little sis.

When we got out of the Walmart my parents weren't there.

Kim cried, I almost fainted.

So this is life now?

Killing what I've named zombies?

I guess yes, the answer is yes.

Four years have passed and I've killed thousands of zombies.

Kim is the kind of person who wants to find a cure.

I'm just her "protecter."

I'm not scared to kill them.

Kim is.

Currently Kim and I are sitting in an old abandoned barn attic. We are still looking for survivors.

We've lived here for two days. We move every three days, for safety.

Now. After we discovered my parents were not there I took Kim and ran.

I broke into a lot of gun shops, stole a lot of guns. And had to make sure that Kim never got hurt.

"Hey," Kim said snapping me back to the present.

"Yeah," I asked.

"Whats the weather like outside?"

Oh no. She always asks that when she wants to go outside. Kim knows the rules I've made.

"Rule 1: don't make friends,

Rule 2: don't go outside without your super badass sister to protect you.

Rule 3: don't go outside at night

Rule 4: don't remember the past

Rule 5: be good at running

Rule 6: always trust your big sister

Rule 7: forget the past and move on

Rule 8: don't touch anything on ground level that doesn't need to be touched (zombies can track by smell)

Rule 9: always stay on task.

Rule 10: follow all these rules, or die."

I don't like going outside because it risks that the zombies will attack.

Well, it will be more risky.

"No." I say.

"What? I didn't even say why!"

"Okay, why?" I glare at her across the small space.

"I want to go outside and see the snow," she glared right back at me.

Snow. We had made our way through Arizona to Nebraska.

Kim loved the snow. I don't know why but she enjoyed getting her ass frozen off every time we had to relocate.

I hated snow.

Snow attracted zombies because they can smell easier since everything's dead in winter. No extra smells like flowers or trees, just there tasty diner. Us.

Nebraska had more zombies that Colorado and Arizona.

I think it's because more people lived in Nebraska but Kim says it's because people in Arizona and Colorado are smart and got away. She says they thought they would be safe in Nebraska but news flash: they died.

"Kim, it's winter. I know you love snow but snow makes it easier for zombies to find us"

She rolls her eyes.
