"What?" I ask.

"The bus doesn't arrive for another 2 hours" he sighs, nervously.

2 hours? i'm so dead. My overthinking is kicking in again & I don't know what my parents will say if I arrive home really late, they'll ask so many questions & Jess won't give up until I tell her where I really was. This whole situation is not good, even if we find a way to leave now, i'll still be home really late.
I start walking back & forth, overthinking while breathing rapidly & Cameron notices.

"Whoa whoa whoa, hey calm down" he grabs onto my shoulders. "Where gonna get back, we'll find away" he smiles.

For some reason, the way those words come out of his mouth makes me feel somewhat okay.

"But I don't want to wait 2 whole hours to get back" I half whisper, trying to calm my breathing down.

"Don't worry, we'll find another way to get a ride".

We walk back to the bus stop, hoping to find some sort of transportation.
Cameron walks into a tiny store, asking the employee about any near car rental places or busses running. When he walks back out, he has a smile on his face.

"So?" I ask him.

"There's a place that lets you rent used cars only 15 minutes from here".

We're probably gonna get there in 20 minutes, depending on how fast we're walking but at least we've got something.

"I'm sorry by the way" Cameron says to me while walking.

I get confused. "For what?"

"For all this, it was my idea to hang out & we lost track of time & everything..."

Does he seriously think that this is his fault? i'm the one who agreed to hang out with him.
"It's not your fault, I had also agreed to hang out when you asked & plus...I had fun".

He smiles in relief.
"I'm glad you had fun...so did I"

I'm glad I hung out with him, I got over one of my biggest fears. Jumping off a cliff especially
into the water so deep.

We see a huge sign that says "Bay Hill" & know we're close into town.

I can feel my legs getting numb, but I try to cope with it because once we're at the rental car place, we can just rent a car & get out of here.

We see a bunch of houses apart from one another, stores & tiny shops & we both sigh in relief that we have walked this far. Cameron starts asking people for directions everytime he gets a little closer.

"OMG IT'S CAMERON BOYCE!" someone yells from behind. I realize his hat isn't even covering his face, I think he thought that nothing will happen just this once.

Cameron & I both turn around to see a bunch of girls gathered around with cameras & phones in their hand. They start shooting pictures with the flash on & I try to cover my face with how bright it is, Cameron grabs my hand & starts running to the other side of town.

We can hear the girls running after us, screaming really loudly & Cameron finds an old graveyard & goes in it to hide behind huge piles of junk behind a fence & sticks his head out to see if they're gone.

"Ok...I...I think they're gone" he turns his face back around & realizes how close we are, all that's heard is our heavy breathing from running & we're not even an inch away, this is the first time i've noticed his big brown eyes & I realize i'm still holding his hand. When I snap back into reality, I let go & move back pretending like nothing happened & I can even tell that he feels a little awkward.
