Third Person’s POV

Robert was peacefully sitting on this restaurant table, having his lunch, totally lost in his thoughts.

Tom had called him a few times, already.

And he just couldn’t bring himself to answer.

He knew that, if he told him, he would just want to go there and as for his sister. And it wouldn’t possibly be that easy.

Fritz surely looked like an idiot, but Robert doubted he was. Plus, there was that other lady who told him she was the ‘owner’, on the first day he was there.

So, surely, there was a lot more to that place that at first sight.

After all, they were able to hide all those women.

No one came to look for them. As a matter of fact, no one even asked for them, with the exception of Zoe. She was probably a small mistake of someone inside their illegal net.

Technically, all those ladies were employed all over the island.

And he was also sure that, at the eye of the law, that place didn’t even exist.

So, for them to be able to keep all of that working and to keep forcing those women to sexual activities, they had to be smart.

A lot.

*At Aphrodite’s dungeons*

“Feeling better?” Belle caressed Claire’s back

“I’m… sorry… if I ever depreciate your pain and… all that you did” she sobbed “It’s… horrible and it was… nothing like I did before…”

“Aw, girl…” Belle hugged her “Don’t be sorry”

“Let’s… run away… just let’s find a way” she mumbled

Belle said nothing, she just locked eyes with Zoe, who joined them in the special hug.

She couldn’t bring herself to tell her the news.

She couldn’t bring herself to, for a fraction of a second, trust Robert.

He could very well be bad news.

So, she decided to just… wait.

“We can’t…” she whispered

*Somewhere around Paradise Island*

Robert had just paid for his lunch and, as he left the restaurant, he was surprised by the boy, Tom, who was leaning against his motorbike, waiting for him.

Robert frowned, wondering how the hell Tom knew he was there.

And Tom seemed to read his mind, when he finally spotted him.

“You’re the greediest guy I know, I just knew you would be in one of the closest restaurants.” He whispered

“Right” Robert chuckled “It was pretty good, actually”

“Why didn’t you pick up the phone?”

Robert looked down “Look kid… I’m sorry, I…” he rubbed his hair “I’m not succeeding”

Tom looked at him, sadly “But… we could… keep trying! I mean… you’re just… great at this stuff and… c’mon! You’re a cop, right?!”

“I never told you I was a cop”

“Yeah, but this man, Mr. Gordon, who you know, is, right? And I remember him saying he worked with you!”
