“So, you just walked up to them…” Robert stared at Emma “And they told you everything”

“I stood there talking to them for a very long time. They seemed pretty humble and naïve, why would they lie?” Emma seemed annoyed

Belle stood there, making sure to keep Robert close to her. It was stronger than her.

Robert took a deep breath “It does not make sense”

Everyone was staring at both, not daring to tell a word. After all it was the new Interpol’s director against the man to whom they had huge respect for.

“Robert, what’s the worst that could happen? Let’s try. Let’s team up, make a plan and do it” she stared at her agents who, hesitatingly nodded

Robert’s fists tightened “What’s the worst that could happen?!” he snapped “They have my daughter.” The agent looked around “So if we are going to keep on disagreeing and split up, that’s fine for me. But if you are making an unsure move on this clue, I’ll be the one in your way.”

Belle quickly held his arm “Rob, calm down” she whispered

Tom quickly spoke “I am with Robert.” He glanced at the agents

“You do not even know if they have your daughter” Emma spoke “You don’t know” she stared at him

“I do.” Robert coldly said

“Seems like we have a problem, then” Emma spoke, in a challenging tone.

“What’s your damn problem?!”

For everyone’s surprise, it was Zoe the one who spoke.

“Excuse me?!” Emma frowned

“You left your basement behind to come and help in this mission. Help Robert getting back his little daughter and finish with all these people. That’s why we are all here…”

“I am here to finish with these traffickers once and for all!” Emma spoke

“So you give no shit about Robert?!” Zoe challenged “What are you even doing then? You have an entire organization you can lead to finish with the traffickers. I’m sure you don’t have to be here”

“Shut you you little naïve girl. You know nothing”

“NO!” Zoe stood up “YOU KNOW NOTHING!”

“Easy, Zoe… it’s ok” Tom tried to calm her down

“No, it is not ok!” she snapped “Why do you want to make these plans so bad?”

“Let’s calm down, everyone!” Claire spoke “We do not go anywhere like this”

Robert observed Zoe, touched with her reaction. She was defending him at full force and more, she was completely right.

What was Emma’s trying to do after all?

Everyone remained silent after Claire’s remark. Only Robert kept observing everyone, particularly Emma “Zoe has a point…” he whispered “Is there something you are not telling us?”

She seemed even more offended “Are you crazy, Robert?! For how long do you bloody know me?!”

“Well, I’ve always thought I knew you well. But you have surprised me, so…”

Belle’s hand tightened around Robert. That was a real provocation, even she didn’t like it. It was true, though.

Emma frowned, hiding all her emotions pretty well, as she always did “I am on your side Robert. I have always been. But we are going to be around here forever if we don’t do anything!”
