Seraphina continued, "Arlo would never choose Blyke over a high tier like Cecile. Not with his philosophy. I overruled him."

Cecile? Isn't that the green chick from the newspaper club or sumn? The one with that resting bitch face right?

The author at standby eagerly opened her mouth, finally coming across the perfect moment to demolish the fourth wall once again. It had been several chapters since she had her chance to shine. Now was the perfect moment to diss the main character-

"I fucking dare you bitch," Y/N creepily twitched her head like a possessed doll toward the sweatdropping author. Since the author is a lazy, unfit couch potato who didn't stand a chance against a Mary Sue like Y/N, she scurried off at the speed of light.

Back to the moment...

"While Cecile may be powerful, she is secretive. She always seems to be hiding something from us and it's difficult to trust someone like that. Blyke, on the other hand, is much more open and straight forward. I'd take that over strength any day."

Makes sense. I haven't met this Cecile girl yet, but based on what Seraphina says, she wouldn't make a good Jack. Y/N commented , "I actually think you and Blyke would be decent friends if you got over this little feud thing."

Scoffing, John denied the advice. "No way. The guy shoots lasers out of his hand. He'll beat my ass before I can even say anything. So, no thanks."

Seraphina wondered what happened to her friend. When did he start caring about those type of things? "When we first met, you didn't let those details bother you despite knowing what I was capable of. And look how things turned out. What ever happened to that John?"

Y/N knew the answer. People change.

Or rather, they start to show their true colors.

The next period of the school day was the one where John had separate classes with Y/N and Seraphina. They parted ways, the two girls heading to their next classes together while John (disappointedly I might add) went his own. As always, Seraphina was the talk of the students around her, this irritating Y/N. It didn't help the fact that she, herself, was the center of attention and gossip herself.

It was at that moment it hit her like a truck.

The two large cups of coffee she (probably shouldn't have) downed this morning.

She nudged a her purple hair friend's shoulder and whispered, "I gotta use the bathroom, so you can just wait for me out here. Please don't pull a John and draw anymore unwanted attention to yourself. Remember, you're supposed to keep it low for now and I don't want you to get hurt again."

"Yeah, yeah just go. You don't gotta nag me. If I wanted someone to do that, I could just call my mom or Arlo."

With that Y/N scampered off to the restroom before she pissed herself. This left Seraphina deserted in the dangerous territory known as the hallways of Wellston. It was whatever anyways. None of them knew she didn't have her ability at the moment, so they wouldn't dare try anything.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" A helpless voice cried out desperately, catching Seraphina's attention. On the floor was a scratched up girl with two dark pink pigtails held by green hair ties. She cowered at the fuming girl above her, a blonde mid-tier with long hair and maniac emerald eyes. "Please let me go! I have an important class starting soon!"
