9. To Obey or Not

Phoebe's POV

I arrived at the manor and went straight to the attic. I entered the room. Piper, Leo, Paige, Wyatt, Chris, and Melinda were in there waiting for me.

Phoebe: can't start without me or what?

Piper: okay, what's with you?

I sighed.

Phoebe: look, I'm sorry. I'm just stressed from trying to finish my book.

Piper: okay, well, Wyatt saw Rebecca Carlson get sucked up into this dark cloud.

Phoebe: wait, dark cloud?

Wyatt: yeah. She was talking to the sky and then this dark cloud appeared and, well, she was gone.

Phoebe: Peyton had a premonition of a dark cloud. Or a least I think it was a premonition. Remember, her drawing.

Leo: what exactly was her drawing?

Phoebe: my family with with a dark cloud behind us.

Leo: are you sure it was your family?

Phoebe: what do you mean?

Leo looked at Wyatt.

Leo: does Kiera have any siblings?

Wyatt: Yeah, two younger sisters. Why?

Leo turned back to me.

Leo: and there were two parents and three kids in the picture, right?

My eyes widened.

Phoebe: wait! It wasn't my family that had the dark cloud, it was Kiera's.

Piper: just great. Our kids will never have normal lives if their drawings are now predicting the future.

Leo: Piper, calm down, alright. If Peyton really did predict the Carlson's doom because of this dark cloud, I think we should stay calm and focused.

Phoebe: Leo's right. We have to start by finding Rebecca.

Piper: we could scry for her.

Phoebe: we need something of her's.

Melinda: how about this Essence Bearer?

Melinda held our her hand to show the Essence Bearer.

Piper: how long have you had that?

Melinda: this whole time.

Piper: and you didn't think to tell us sooner?

Melinda: I forgot. Wyatt's story kind of overrode mine.

Piper sighed.

Piper: alright.

She took the Essence Bearer from Melinda.

Melinda: it was in her house. I don't know if it's her's.

Piper: hopefully it won't matter.

Piper went to the map and started scrying.

Leo: or the Essence Bearer could lead us to who it actually belongs to, the Alchemist.

Paige: which then could lead us to Rebecca.

Piper kept scrying. The crystal started circling around a spot on the map and then landed.

Piper: got her ... or the Alchemist. I got someone. Whoever it is, they're near the bridge. Let's go.

Wyatt, Chris, and Melinda were about to orb but Piper stopped them.

Piper: no, you three stay here.
