Xadrian's POV {A/N: The name is pronounced-'Zey-Dree-An' By the Way.}

Solomon tilted his head upwards and sniffed the air. "Do you smell that? Blood and beating hearts."

I nodded my head, pretending to actually care. He always loved to make everything over dramatic when fresh Human blood was somewhere near. He put his hands together and rubbed them. "Oh teenagers. Think you can handle this?" Yet again, I nodded my head. "Let's go" I said and we dashed out.

Some vampires say that, us walking is what mortals call a very fast car in a street car race. And when we run, their eyes are so dim that they don't even notice. The closer we got to the teenagers, the stronger their blood smelled. (And let me tell you, it smelled really good.) "No! Will! Stop it!" squealed a girl who later started laughing. Solomon was already there, watching them silently from behind a tree, hidden, dark eyes smiling as I tried to do the same but quieter. How do they do it? How do human's make so much noise yet vampires make none? I walked slowly, as slowly as I could (looked more like extreme slow motion to me.) I saw a branch and I stepped on it. No sound. I walked a little more, as slow as I did before and found a bigger branch. I made sure to go slow and easy as I oh so slowly- "Don't be a dumbass Xadrian! Do it and I'll never bring you with me again. You can go with Yellow" Solomon snarled at me.

That made me to completely forget about the branch that I wanted to step on and to be at Solomon's side. He ran a hand through his short dark hair and smiled at me. "Thought so." I kept my eyes on the woods. There were about 4 or 5 of them. And they were all running and laughing. "Quinn, I got you!" yelled some guy. At that moment, Solomon decided to attack, forcing me to do the same. (I could never wait until a game was started.) He went for the guy who just yelled and I went for a random girl. She didn't even see me coming for her. Her green eyes calm, until she heard her guy friend scream like a little girl. But it was too late, I already had her pinned down and had my lips against her neck. Her skin was smooth, an olive colour. She smelled like cherries.

I sunk my fans into her; at first she didn't feel it. Until seconds later she started screaming, trying to get out of my grip. I sunk in deeper into her. Her blood tasted good. Like the first meal you had in about a week. (Which is, actually true for me.) I could feel my fangs absorbing all of it in. Seconds later, I got off of her and wiped my bloody chin. Her body was still, her green eyes terrified and unmoving. And they were going to stay that way until someone found her. My eyes were red now, thirsty for more. And I smelt one more. I went for her and so did Solomon. Usually, the older one gets the last one (I'm only 239 and he's well over 583.) But for some reason, I wanted her. I wanted her bad. She turned around and saw me, her eyes widened in disbelief and sheer panic came over her. She tripped over her two dumbass feet and landed on her butt. She stayed down and stared at me from across from her. Just staring at me.

I stood there, dumbfounded, by her brown hair and stunning blue green eyes made me feel... Solomon lunged for her and she screamed. I knew I had to save her. But why? No. I'm not falling in love. I shook my head, that's what I was afraid of happening. Falling in love with a mortal would strain me down and-I lunged at Solomon knowing that I had to protect her. And the whole time that I was in the air and I crashed into him all I was thinking was 'fuck no. I'm not in love. Not in love, not in love. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.'
