"Grab mommy's hand Ivelle" i say when i reach for her hand.
She smiles.
I've never been so nervous in my life.
Will she know that Shawn is her dad?
We walk into a coffeeshop, Shawn stands up at a table and waves.
I smile soft and walk towards him.
"Hey little princess!" He says to Ivelle.
"Hi" he says to me.
"Hi" i say back and sit down.
"So LA" i begin.
"Yup"
"Why?"
" i was done with Toronto..... i couldn't be in the same country as the person who hurts the people i care about"
"I suggest you didn't stood still since we broke up?" I say.
He doesn't say a thing.
"You have been seeing someone don't you?" I ask carefully.
"Uhm yes" he says.
"Mommy, i'm thirsty" Ivelle says.
I look at my wallet. Only 5 dollars left......
"Uhm yeah here you go sweety, you know what you need to say huh?" I give her a pet through her hair.
She smiles and runs to the counter.
I see her ordering a water and runs back.
"Baby why didn't you ask for a lemonade?"
"Because is costs more money mommy, now you can buy a water for you to" she says and hugs me.
She's the most adorable person.
She sits on my lap.
"Do i know the girl?" I ask quiet.
"Hmmmh"
"Who?"
"Uhm I-"
"Who Shawn"
"C-Camilla"
My heart breaks in a million pieces.
"W-what?" I say while my eyes tear up.
"We uhm, when we broke up she offerd me her shoulder, we got closer than ever and than it just happend"
"You told me you would never see her like that"
"I know but it just happend"
"So you two are still together?"
"Uhm yes"
Quick i look at Ivelle so i hold my tears in.
"I wanna see Ivelle" he says.
"What?! No way"
"Why not?"
"Three years ago you kicked us out, without thinking, we have no money left, everything goes straight to Ivelle, even with only 5 dollars left, she can buy a water for herself. You never reached out, not even for her birhtday and now you wanna see her?! No way" i say and stand up.
"Jess please"
I grab Ivelle her hand.
"Come on baby, we're gonna go home" i say.
"Bye" she says and waves to Shawn.
Once i got home, Ivelle went playing.
I fall down on the couch and start to cry, really hard.
He broke my heart, again, 6 times.... this time hurts just as much as the last time.
I feel a little kiss on my cheek.
I look up and Ivelle is crying.
"Why are you crying baby?" I ask and lift her on the couch.
"Because you are crying mommy, don't be sad" she says.
"I love you so much Ivelle..... mommy loves you nomatter what, i promise you, everyting is gonna be okay"
I give her a kiss and the door rings.
Ivelle runs to the door and opens it.
"Hello babygirl!!! I missed you!!! Where's mommy?" I hear a voice say.
"AUNTY ZARA!!!!!" Ivelle yells.
She walks in and sees me on the couch.
"Are you okay?"
I hug her and start to cry again.
I tell her the story and her mouth falls open.
"Dickhead!!" She says really loud.
"Dickhead!" Ivelle yells aswell.
"Hey Ivelle! That's a really dirty word, you can't say that!" I say to her.
"Sorry mommy" she says.
"Listen Zara.... i don't want Shawn near Ivelle.... he doesn't care about her.... he didn't even call for her birthday"
"I get it.... Camilla, really? That he even thinks that she can get above you" Zara says and laughs.
