you're not going to give up,
are you?

appreciation post for michael "eddie" edwards because he's a precious bean (i'm only considering him as the character from eddie the eagle there, as he was also a real person!) despite almost breaking his neck throughout the entire movie

appreciation post for michael "eddie" edwards because he's a precious bean (i'm only considering him as the character from eddie the eagle there, as he was also a real person!) despite almost breaking his neck throughout the entire movie. if you don't know who the real eddie was, which i didn't before watching the film either, i suggest you check out his story and performance at the 1988 winter olympics

taron egerton's portrayal of him makes me so happy, he really has this childish passion and recklessness and i was desperate to finally see him thrive (also eddie loves milk and i relate to that on the deepest level, i love milk). and hugh jackman is amazing in this too, they're dynamic is so funny and their chemistry undeniable!

eddie's relationship with his mom is the best thing as well. she was so supportive and proud of him and when she met with him before he got on the olympian bus, asking "where do you think you're going young man?" just like when he was a kid, and he replied "to the olympics" with that giddy smile, my heart was stolen

overall this movie will make you smile, laugh, warm up inside, believe a little bit more in your dreams, and fall in love with eddie's character (but don't become a ski jumper if you care about your bones) <3
