Chapter 1: Bad Boy Meets Good Girl

Hi, I'm Emily and I hate my life. I'm a 17 year old girl planning to go to college. I'm your average senior who wants to leave school and be free from this hell.

There is one boy that we all know and love but for me? Hate. He's the total bad boy, Cody. Yeah, cliche much? Well he is the boy that everyone wants but he thinks otherwise.

He's a player basically. He "doesn't date." I agree, who would want to date his ass? Oh, I know! The classic school queen bee, Jessica.

She has been after him since tenth grade, so two years. She's a thirsty hoe.

My school is basically every other school that you see in the movies or read in the Wattpad books.

-DURING CLASS-

The teacher announced us a project. I hate them because they are too much work for my lazy potato ass.

"Alright class. I'll put you in partners."

Please don't put me with Cody, please don't put me with Cody.

"Emily and Cody will be together for this project."

Just my fucking luck. He winked at me after he heard our names. Gross. If he thinks I'll date him, he is sadly mistaken.

We both decided to work in the library, wow he actually works. I noticed that our phones look very similar. Plain and boring. Like my life.

We both took our phones to prevent distractions and put them on silent. We actually got a lot done.

-ONE HOUR LATER-

Cody said "I got to go, see you later, babe." Ew, babe. He took my phone without realizing. Although, I didn't notice either.

"I should probably head home as well." I grabbed his phone without a thought and went home.
