The rise of the Erinyes

Warriors of old
Bravely stand forever bold
In archaic days.

But hidden in silence
Beneath the fleshly veil,
Lingers a crimson thirst for
skin so pale.

Awakening hearts,
Corrupting mortals long lost
In ancient silken frost.

Still watching; waiting
Darkness looming yet thriving,
Their ink black eyes conniving.

Searing shadows coalescing,
Draping those once sleeping souls
In pearls of jet coals.

Silhouettes emerging,
Spine chilling howls piercing the sky
Grim tidings slipping awry.

Peacefully sighing,
Their dark demon wings rising
Baring, a bleak dawn.
