Splatoon Splatroad Skyroad: My take on Hachi 2

"Okay, so this is what I had in mind..." Hachi went on to tell them his ideas as the group walked along the path to the mountains.

"Your highness, we have them in our sights."

"Good. Fire when ready."

"...but then the wings are still a problem and-" Hachi was interrupted when suddenly Rider tackled everyone down. A needle flew past them, and stuck on the dirt cliff side they were walking along.

"We're under attack!" Goggles yelled.

The group began running, as more and more needles lined the cliffside.

"We can't keep running! We have to break somewhere!" Nana huffed.

"Try and find a cave!" Emperor yelled.

Everyone frantically looked while running.

"I think I see one!" Rider yelled, and pointed, but not so much so that anyone spying on them could see.

With a nod, they all followed him.

"We've lost them majesty, but we know they're here."

"Proceed to send the search flight and do not stop until they are found and brought before me. Understood?"

"Yes, my queen."

The cave inside was pretty dry. The group hid along the walls, so if anyone walked in they would be well hidden.

"So Hachi, about that plan of yours..." Gloves spoke up.

"Oh yeah, that. The wings are still a problem." Hachi resumed from where he was.

"Can't we just...injure the wing or something?" Nana suggested.

"That may be easier said than done." Hachi replied.

"We could...trap them under something?" Prince asked.

"We could, but who knows what kind of technology they have. Those blades might bust 'em out." Hachi thought back to the boat thoughts.

"Well, we have something to work with, but we're sort of on a time limit here" Rider mumbled.

"Anyone else have ideas?" Hachi asked everyone.

"I stole some needles from the cliffside if that helps!" Goggles said, who had his hand clenched the majority of the time they were running. He unclenched it to reveal 7 needles.

"Actually, it does!"

"Save them for later though, and be careful when handling them."

"I wiiiiill~"

"Anywho, like Rider said, it is a time limit."

"Should we go now?" Emperor asked, squatting as to not touch the dirty ground.

"No, we still might have the shooter on us." Hachi thought back to moments ago. Where could they be?

"I'll look." Prince got up and carefully looked outside, only to see Skylings patrolling the area. He zipped back inside.

"We're surrounded."

"What."

"They must've seen us get away and now there are Skylings patrolling the entire area."

"Oh cod-"

"What are we going to do?!" Nana panicked

"Are we doomed to die?!" Goggles early screamed.

"Do we give up?!" Emperor asked, out of ideas.

Rider, who was sitting nearby the entrance walls, got up and walked to the back.

"SHUT UP!" He yelled, pounding the cave wall with his fist.

Everyone immediately shut up, but not before the wall began to shake, as pieces of rock soon fell away to reveal a passageway leading further in.

"Well I guess that works." Gloves said.

"Into the unknown!" Goggles said cheerfully (having snapped out of his panic phase), as he proceeded to enter.

"I suppose if we have no other choice..." Hachi mumbled.

Everyone filed in after Goggles.

"Still no sign of them."

"Check EVERY CAVE, EVERY CREVICE." She was determined.

"We're trying, Cal-Majesty."

"What about that one cave in the corner? Did you check that?!" An annoyed voice asked.

"....didn't see that one..."

"Exactly, now send some troops down there immediately and report on anything you find, or DEATH FOR ALL OF YOU." And with that, she was done.

"Right, majesty."

"Pathetic fools."

A strange figure stood on top of a mountain, watching the commotion underneath them. A crystal clear blade was glowing in their hand.

"They think it's funny to destroy inkopolis and use it as a playground. Well, I'll show them what it feels like to have your home destroyed and used as a playground by another species."

They stabbed the sword into the mountaintop, and ice spread down it, quicker than an avalanche.
