Summers ending but the funs beginning

Time has passed.

The school year ended.

Just like summers about to end.

To most of the eight teenagers it felt as if the long hours after every week day never happened.

That the secrets were never told.

That they never laughed together.

That they were never there for one another when the tears were shed.

That they were never there to offer a helping hand or stand up for each other.

That there was no friendship.

That there was nothing but Detention.

And that right there may be the biggest lie any of them have ever told.

The last day of summer.

Most teens would be out enjoying their last day of freedom.

But the Allens and the Wayne's.

They were all gathered around a nice table at the Wayne's house.

"Sorry that Tim couldn't join us he and Alfred had some last minute errands to run." Bruce said

"Oh no problem were just happy to be here" Iris said

"Yeah the foods delicious" Barry said his mouth full of food.

Iris sent a glare his way. Barry just gave a sheepish smile.

"Are you all excited for school?" Barry asked

"No" Wally and Dick said at the same time.

"Why not? You get to see all your friends!" Iris said

"What friends?" Dick asked

Bart silently chuckled before a glare was shot his way by Iris.

"What about your friends that you met in detention?"Bruce asked

"They weren't really are friends" Wally said

"That's not true! What about Conner and Kaldur! And who's that girl you had a crush on Amber? Anna? Oh Art-" Iris was cut off by wally.

"No one! I have a girlfriend!"

Iris and Barry rolled their eyes at the mention of Linda.

Bruce seeing an argument ahead, changed the subject.

"Um, Bart are you excited for highschool?"

Bart looked up from his plate.

"Um kinda of I guess, I'm a little scared of some of the Older kids" Bart said and looked back down at his plate.

Dick and Wally laughed

"Dude. No ones scary at our school!" Dick said

"Yeah! Who are you scared of?" Wally added

"Well there's this one girl Artemis" Bart started

Dick spit out his drink.

And Wally choked on his food.

"Why- why would you be afraid of- of her?"

"Well people talk about her and say that she beats people up, and gets in fights a lot, that's why she has so many wounds and scars. They also say that she's mean to everybody! " Bart exclaims

"You- They don't even know her!" Wally snaps

"Oh and you do?"Barry asks

"Yes! Well we did! Point is you don't know what she goes through at home!" Dick says

"Did." Bruce says

"What?" Wally asks

"Did go through at home. She was adopted by Oliver and Dinah Queen" Bruce answers

Dick and Wally look at each other.

And they both said at the same time "I can't wait to congratulate her- Oh wait."

"What?" Iris asked

"Were not her friends anymore"
