Holly and Ridge heard a ghast's moan, then a shriek. Before they knew it, there was a fireball approaching them rapidly. Ridge stood, sword in hand, between Holly and the fireball, trying to protect her. Holly put her hand on his shoulder, gesturing for him to step aside. "I got this one," she said to him.

Ridge blushed and did as she gestured. Holly got in a fighting stance as the fireball approached. She swung her sword with all her might and the fireball deflected, flying back towards the ghast. It hit the ghast and it died. "Yes!" Holly shouted, throwing her fist in the air triumphantly.

Ridge looked at her in awe. "Impressive," he said slowly.

Holly smiled at him, and he smiled back. She couldn't help but notice how cute he was....

Their gazes broke when they heard the moan of another ghast. "We'd better make a shelter or something," Ridge suggested.

Holly nodded in agreement. "Do you have any building supplies?"

Ridge opened his pack and pulled out a stack of cobblestone and some wooden planks. "I don't think the wood will do very well here, but the cobblestone will suffice."

"I have a couple stacks of cobblestone as well, shall we get started building?"

"Yeah."

Ridge and Holly used their combined cobblestone, and began building a small room. Ridge had some iron that they used to make a door, with wooden buttons. Holly had some wool that they used to make a single bed. Unfortunately, they'd have to take turns using it, because Holly only had 4 blocks of wool.

"Do you have any seeds or anything?" Ridge asked.

Holly checked her pack. "Just 2," she replied.

"Let's hope they'll give us more when we plant them. I have 33 dirt we can use."

Ridge made a small dirt area while Holly crafted a stone hoe. She used that to till the dirt before planting the seeds. Ridge had a sapling that he planted on a block of dirt behind the house they made. Hopefully, no ghasts would shoot it. Holly put some cobblestone walls around it, connecting the house and the Netherrack walls. There was no roof, so it was unprotected from ghasts' fiery explosions from above. Finally, Ridge and Holly were all set with their shelter.

The two Minecraftians were exhausted after their long day, and were quite ready to sleep. "I think you should get the bed first," Holly said to Ridge.

"There is no way I'm letting you sleep on the floor on first night of being trapped in the Nether! You deserve the bed first."

Holly blushed as a shy smile appeared on her lips. "Oh, alright."

Ridge got himself settled on the floor, and Holly lied in her bed.

Except, she didn't lie on her bed.

Right before she got in, she and Ridge were knocked back, and where the bed used to be, a crater and a hole in the wall lied. Holly and Ridge gasped in surprise. "Aw man! I totally forgot! No beds in the Nether," Holly exclaimed.

Ridge opened his pack. "We only have 14 cobblestone left. We better save it. I guess we'll just have to use wood."

With that, the two of them patched the holes with wooden planks, hoping it wouldn't burn anytime soon. Or, ever. Ridge decided it would be more comfortable to sleep on wood, so he placed a couple wooden planks on his side of the room to sleep on. After that, the two of them drifted off to sleep on their wooden beds.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Holly and Ridge awoke with terrible back pains... and hunger pains. Holly got up and stretched out her back, and Ridge soon after did the same. "Did you sleep ok?" Holly asked.

"Nope, you?"

Holly chuckled. "Nope! Not at all!" They both laughed. "How's the wheat doing?"

Ridge looked at the dirt with sprouts they called a farm. "Not great, but better than yesterday."

Holly nodded. "So... What do you say we go for a little walk?"

"Sounds great! Something to distract us from our hunger and back pains."

Ridge took Holly's hand, which made her blush. Ridge smiled at her. She looked so beautiful.

Together the two walked out of their shelter and into the Nether. Hand in hand, they walked by the ledge, looking out at the lava lake to their left.

They walked past a group of pigmen. One of them was looking at the two. Holly noticed he seemed to be... smiling. She shrugged it off and asked, "So, Ridge, what kinds of things did you do, back in the overworld? What are your interests?"

"Well," he replied, "I wanted to be a protector. A hero. Someone people look up to. I like to help people. I brewed lots of potions, too. You know, to kind of assist the whole hero thing." A goofy smile spread across his lips. "So, what about you?"

Holly smiled shyly. "This may sound silly, especially compared to yours, but, I wanted to make the biggest automated noteblock song ever. I- I just love music."

"That sounds great! That's an awesome aspiration!"

Holly blushed and looked at her feet, smiling. They stopped and looked at the lava lake next to them, hands still interlocked. Ridge's gaze moved to Holly's face. Holly noticed him looking and said, "What?"

"Nothing, you're just so beautiful."

Holly turned and grabbed his other hand, staring into his eyes. Ridge released her hands to wrap his arms around her waist. Holly's arms wrapped around his neck, as their faces moved closer together. Ridge smiled before leaning closer and kissing her, pulling her closer to him.
