Twenty-Three

Hongjoong bursts through the door still in his wolf form, snarling and growling as he smells the intruder's scent in his home. Wooyoung and Seonghwa stayed in their position, the once calm baby is screaming once more from the noise of the door slamming open. Everyone rushes in, sniffing around. Jongho growls, only to be snapped at by Hongjoong.

Hongjoong shifts back to human form, "Where is he," his wolf demanded, his red eyes scan the place top to bottom, "Mingi, go check upstairs, Jongho, check outside."

"Babe," Seonghwa approaches Hongjoong carefully, knowing the alpha is ready to snap any moment, "Please calm your pheromones, you're scaring Jisung."

"I will not calm down until this bastard is found and dead," Hongjoong snarls, looking back at the Betas, "Watch them. If you see someone I want you to kill whoever or whatever it is."

The three Betas snorts, keeping in their wolf forms as they guard the Omegas and the baby. The baby was still crying as the tension in the air due to the alpha pheromones. Wooyoung did his best to calm her, Yeosang whimpers as his wolf approaches and nuzzles Wooyoung's leg. The Omega sniffles, wiping his tears as he shed more, shushing his daughter.

Hongjoong shifts back into his wolf form, checking the house level as he growls lowly. The strangers scent was all over the place, all over his home, and he didn't like it one bit. When he clears the area, Mingi comes down the stairs, "Clear." He snarls.

"Go out and help Jongho find the scent," Hongjoong growls, Mingi snorting in confirmation before padding outside to check the perimeter. Hongjoong backed himself up against his pack, moving his ears all around as he listens carefully for anything moving other than Mingi and Jongho's footsteps around the perimeter.

Eventually the alphas came back and shifted, "We searched all over, we lost his scent after he passed the border of our territory," Jongho tells Hongjoong who growls lowly before shifting.

Jisung was whining, finally calming down as Mingi walks over to her, taking her from Wooyoung who looked as if he had seen a ghost. Jongho kneels down and cups Wooyoung's face in his hands softly, "Wooyoung."

"He's coming for me," Wooyoung whispers, his eyes watering, "Kai is here he's gonna kill Jisung-"

"He will not," Mingi snarls, Jisung once more starts screaming and Seonghwa takes the baby.

"Everyone needs to calm down or this baby is going to get sick!" He hisses, placing her against his chest above his heartbeat and she calms almost instantly. She still whines and angrily clenched her fists against Seonghwa's shirt, but otherwise she stopped her screaming.

"You think we can seriously keep calm after an intruder was on MY territory, threatening one of MY Omegas and his pup-" Hongjoong starts, only to be cut off by Seonghwa.

"For right now until this baby is calmed down, yes," He hisses back, "I'm scared too because if Kai is back Baekhyun will be after me as well. But this is what they're wanting right now. They're wanting to get a rise out of us and we need to be smart and not let them think we are weak!!"

"What do you suggest I do?" Hongjoong throws his arms up in the air, "Let then eventually take Wooyoung or you from under my nose? No, fuck that. If they even think to set another foot on to my land I will tear each of them limb from limb and burn their ashes to the ground."

He turns to the Betas, "One of you three will be on guard duty tonight. Tomorrow, we're switching off to Jongho. An alpha or beta is to be with Wooyoung and Seonghwa at all times and if you abandon them to even go piss you will be severely punished."

"Hongjoong!" Seonghwa scolds.

"Not another word," Hongjoong's wolf snarls, pointing a finger at his mate, "Until these fuckers are dead, you are not to be out of anyone's sight do you hear me?"

Seonghwa glares at his mate, not saying anything as Hongjoong looks at Yeosang, "Sleep with him tonight. Me, San, and Yunho are on night watch tonight. Mingi, you will be in Seonghwa's room and Jongho will be with Wooyoung and Jisung. If they have the balls to trespass, we're going to need more to be on guard for these parasitic monsters."
