Twenty-Two

"Are you sure they're there?"

"I'm sure Alpha, I've been following them and watching them like you asked for months now," the man bows his head, the large Alpha before him growls before turning away.

"You're free to go. Disappoint me again and I'll be sure to hang your head on your wall for your mate and pups to see," the Alpha growls.

"Kai," a deeper voice calls, "leave him be. He did what you asked, no need to frighten the poor boy more."

"We still need them," Kai snarls, "I want him back in my grasp!"

"And I want Seonghwa back," the man snarls back, "But we must wait for the right moment. Now, now isn't the best time."

"When," Kai growls, his piercing dark eyes locked on his partner in crime.

"Soon," the older growls, "Do not test my authority or the deal is off."

Kai growls lowly, turning on his heel and exiting the room, leaving the other man to sigh and twirl his ring on his finger. Someone cleared their throat and the man turns, "You're still here?"

"Kai promised me freedom, but that won't mean he'll keep his word. Will you offer me protection from him Baekhyun?" The spy swallows harshly, chills ran down his spine as Baekhyun laughs darkly.

"Kai is his own animal, if he comes after you, there's nothing I can do to stop him," Baekhyun smirks, "Now get out of my sight or I WILL not only hang your head on your wall, but hang your mate's and children's heads on the wall as well."

Life at the house with a new baby was everything everyone expected. Jisung mostly slept, only screaming when she needs food or when she needs changed. Everyone had grown use to the newest addition, and she had already grown quite attached to a few members.

Mingi and Jongho hold her more than Wooyoung, and sometimes the mother has to throw a fit just to hold his baby. Seonghwa even takes her when Wooyoung is sleeping and aiding to her, his mother instincts were even higher thanks to this baby and the twins growing in his belly.

She was only a week old, and everyone was wrapped around her tiny little fingers.

Seonghwa coos at her as she suckles from the bottle, Wooyoung going to shower real quick. He felt a presence behind him, and soon arms wrap around his waist before a gentle kiss was landed on his neck. He hums, looking back at his mate, "Isn't she precious?"

"Very," Hongjoong chuckles, "She's going to be spoiled rotten from how many people are aiding to her."

"She's the first baby born into our pack, of course she's going to be spoiled," Seonghwa giggles, brushing his knuckle softly down her chubby cheeks. She has tiny dimples by her mouth on her upper lip, whenever she suckles they became more prominent. Seonghwa smiles, "Such a pretty baby."

"If both of ours are girls, we don't stand a chance with all three of them," Hongjoong laughs, taking Jisung's tiny hand and having it automatically wrap around his finger. Her tiny eyebrows furrow and he snorts, "What did I ever do to this kid, seriously she acts like I've disrupted her."

"She's just a baby," Seonghwa rolls his eyes, "She doesn't know better."

"I can see those words being repeated over and over as the years go on," Hongjoong chuckles, "She could kill someone for looking at her wrong and you would say, 'Oh, she's just a baby she doesn't know better.'"

"Are you mocking me?"

Hongjoong's face falls as he back tracks his words, "No baby I was just-"

"Okay," Wooyoung sighs, holding his arms out, "I feel a lot better now after showering the muck off. Can I have my baby back?"

"She's about done feeding," Seonghwa smiles, removing the bottle from Jisung's mouth and wiping her chin and neck with the bib, then handing her to her mother, "She's going to need a bath to wash the chubby rolls."

Wooyoung smiles, taking his baby in his arms and bringing her over his shoulder. Once Seonghwa places the burp cloth over his shoulder under her head, he begins patting her back and rubbing it, "Would you care to help me? Bathing is still scary for me."

"Of course," The Luna smiles.

"I wanna help!" San stomps his foot, Yeosang raising his hand up and nodding.

"Guys, we only need two people giving her a bath," Seonghwa laughs, "We can't have the whole pack help give a newborn a bath."

"Actually, lets all go on a hunt while you two bath her," Hongjoong suggests, kissing Seonghwa's cheek and the Luna arches his eyebrow. Hongjoong rarely blushes, so when his cheeks heat up he knows he's blushing. He smiles nervously, remembering the previous conversation between him and his mate, "I love you."

"Mhmm, go hunt," Seonghwa smirks, kissing his mate before turning back to Wooyoung, "Let's let her get settled after eating and then we'll bathe her."

Before everyone leaves, they all give kisses to the baby, until Wooyoung stops Jongho when he turned to walk to the door after he said 'see you later' to the baby, "Uh, excuse you! I'm not invisible!" He laughs.

Jongho chuckles, cupping Wooyoung's chin and kissing him softly. The Omega hums, smiling into the kiss as Jongho pulls away to kiss his nose and cheeks before placing one last kiss to the top of Jisung's head and then leaving. Wooyoung rolls his eyes, chuckling as he holds his baby close and carrying her to the kitchen to grab him a drink.

"Wooyoung I got her bath ran!" Seonghwa calls, "I don't think it's too hot but we better hurry to get her in before the water turns cold!"

"Coming!" He calls back, trying to be quiet as he carries the newborn to the bathroom. He turns the corner and gasps, seeing a man he had never seen before standing before him. He wanted to scream for Seonghwa, he wanted to run, but his body froze as the Alpha before him steps towards him. He steps back, dropping his cup and wrapping both arms around his baby to protect her.

The man smirks, "I am not going to hurt you, not unless you cooperate."

"Get out of our home," Wooyoung growls, his eyes flashing a golden color, "Now!"

The man chuckles darkly, his eyes flashing red and powerful alpha pheromones overwhelm his senses as he towers over Wooyoung and Jisung, "Kai is coming and when he sees you with another man's pup, he will kill you and the father. And then," he leans closer to the Omega, Wooyoung turning Jisung away from him when his baby started whimpering and crying, "he will stake his claim on you after putting his own pup in you."

Wooyoung whimpers, the man was gone instantly and he hears footsteps coming down the stairs. Seonghwa enters, his eyes widen, "Who was here?" He sniffs around, his senses on high alert now that the baby was crying. He looks at Wooyoung, "Who was he? I can smell male Alpha all over this place."

Wooyoung's heart races as he shakes his head, his eyes watering, "Kai's here. He's coming for me Kai, is here!!"

"Wooyoung honey calm down-"

"I can't!!" Wooyoung pants, breathing heavy and feeling his lungs closing up and his vision blurring, "He's going to kill her!!" Jisung was now screaming, Seonghwa taking her in his arms quickly and he's glad he did, Wooyoung collapses on his knees and fights for air.

Seonghwa sets Jisung in her bouncer, aiding to Wooyoung, "Youngie, breathe."

"Kai's going to kill my baby," he sobs, "He's here he's going to kill us!!"

"No he will not!" Seonghwa snaps, cupping Wooyoung's face, "He will not hurt any of us!! And if he lays a finger on anyone I'll kill the bastard myself!"

"He won't stop," Wooyoung sobs, curling in a ball in Seonghwa's hold, "He won't stop Hyung he won't!"

Jisung continues to scream, Seonghwa leaving Wooyoung's side to hold her and bring her to Wooyoung. Once he hands the baby to Wooyoung, the distressed Omega calms down and the baby does too. Seonghwa lets out a deep breath, holding both in his arms as he sends a warning to Hongjoong. He knows the Alpha is going to be on high alert now.
