chap 47 ; family comming over

*still the phone convo*

me - "okay. mom.. where are you? is he already there? i'm comming home!"

mom - "no! cause then that'll bring you into more danger!"

me - "i don't want to lose you, dad, and bryan either! i already lost elai. i'm not losing you guys' too"

mom - "okay. stay in canada. your father hasn't reached us yet. we're leaving right now. stay with shawn, and keep your phone with you. got it?"

me - "got it. stay safe mom, i love you"

mom - "i love you to"

i hung up and took my luggage. i pushed through the people, and managed to get out.

i quickly ran outside to find shawn. and luckily him, and his family were eating at this little café near the airport.

i quickly ran to that café with my luggage behind me.

once i reached there, i screamed

"shawn!" i yelled and ran over to him

"emma?" he said and got up

i ran up to him, and jumped on him. and i began to sob

"shhhh.. emma.. shhh. we'll talk about this when we get back home. okay?" he asked

i didn't reply. i simply just did a nod.

-skip care ride-

"what's happening emma? why did you come back?" mrs. mendes asked me

i was curled up into a ball, with shawn by my side who's arms are around me.

"my father... he's threatening to kill my family" i said and let out another sob

shawn began rubbing my back to make me feel better

"you're going to have to stay here until we know where your father is at. how about your family back at virginia?" she asked

"their flying over to canada" i said

"okay. you and your family can stay as long as you want. you're safe here" mr. mendes said and placed his hand on my shoulder

"thank you" i told the both of them

"no problem emma" they both replied and hugged me

shawn brought me up to his room, and placed me gently on his bed.

"why do you think he's doing this?" shawn asked as he layed next to me

"i don't know. i think he's doing this for payback, i guess" i said and layed my head on shawn's shoulder

"payback? didn't he put you and your mom through enough already?" he asked

"yeah. i think he's just doing this because me and my mom shut him out. he got pissed off just because we blamed him for elai's death" i said

"he has the right to be blamed for elai's death. he was the one that killed him" shawn said

"can we not talk about it?" i asked and looked up to meet his eyes

"okay. take a quick nap. i'll wake you up when their here. okay?" he asked

"okay" i replied

shawn leaned down and kissed my forehead before heading out the door.
