the time after highschool wasn't as good as jack thought. college was hard. he wasn't strong enough. what is he gonna...
hey babies, if you didn't know their summer started around mid-may so it's close to the end of may now, just to clear things up. • 2 days later
zach was setting next to jacks bed taking his medicine. his concussion has slimmed down some so he's getting better, jacks stop puking which is great, he doesn't have to be cuffed to the bed anymore either which is also great. jack should be leaving the hospital tomorrow.
"hey zach" jack said making zach look up at him taking his focus away from his phone
"yeah?" he says
"can you maybe get me something from the vending machine?" jack asks zach and he smiles
"yeah of course, i'll be back in a minute" zach says and smiles as he walks out of the room
jack sighs after zach leaves and flops his head on the pillow and runs his hands over his face.
he tries to put up a strong front but it doesn't help much. he loves zach but it scares him thinking about it. he's scared he's going to screw up again or something bad will happen, that's what always seems to happen when they are together.
from the very beginning, first it was the party, then it was zach getting taken away, then the thing with the boy from camp, then zach's mom coming back, then jack being left alone for the summer and zach not contacting him at all, then it was college where he screwed everything up all the way until 2 days ago.
as you can tell jack is terrified and he has a right to be. but he can't tell zach that he's to scared. but it's fine or atleast for now they aren't dating anyways.
jack gets back on his phone and scrolls through instagram where he decides to post a picture from senior year.

jack laughed at the replies to his post. he missed the good ole days a lot. but then he thinks about how the future might be, he imagines a certain scenario everytime.
scenario
"zach come here" jack yells to the boy in the house
jack was setting outside of their little house in LA
"what love" zach says walking outside
"me and sunny wanted you to play with us, ain't that right sunny" jack says as he picks his little daughter up and walks towards his husband
"poppa" the little girl says as she reaches for the older dad
"what sunny? do you want to play" zach asks as he starts to run around the yard with the girl

jack was setting in the kitchen cooking supper when his friends and family walk in, it was the weekly dinner they all shared usually at jacks house.
they all sat and ate before going outside and letting the kids play as they sat on the patio drinking and reminiscing on the good ole times.

jack smiled a big smile after thinking about the future he wishes to have.
"so i got you some gummies and some chocolate along with a dr pepper" zach says and jack laughs
"i know those gummies aren't for me and instead for you and the chocolate you will most likely take a bite of along with the drink you will half drink with me" jack says with a laugh
"well...i'm hungry okay" zach says and he laughs some more
they eat the snacks as they scroll through social media before zach stumbles upon jacks post.
he smiles to himself.
"jack..." zach says
"yeah" jack says as he looks up from his phone
"i-i love you" zach speaks and jack looks down
"i know you do zay and you know i do it's just it's hard, it's hard to say it with out worrying something's gonna happen, i need time...please" jack says quickly before the tears threaten to fall
"i know jacky, i didn't mean to hurt you. i just wanted to tell you...i love you so much. never forget that." zach says with a smile as he kisses the boys cheek and crawls into the small bed where he comforts the boy and they fall asleep

days later
the boys have been out of the hospital for awhile. jack has mostly stayed home afraid to go anywhere. zach has been there almost every single day.
they fell back in love, well they never really fell out just had some bumps along the way. but jack loved every second he spent with zach and zach of course loved it as well.
the boys where eachothers drug and they didn't even realize it.

"jack please come with me" zach begs
"i don't want to" jack says as he rolls back over in his bed before getting dragged out of it by zach.
"come on we are going the squad is waiting on us, they really want you to come" zach says as he picks the boy up
"fine."
jack gets dressed before they go down stairs and get in the car where they go to the spot and hang out with their friends like the old days.
jack and zach sat on the swings and swayed back and forth talking about whatever came to mind.
"this is giving me some flashbacks" corbyn says as they watch the two
"it really does" daniel says
"i hope they can be in love without worrying again" gabbie says as she holds on to tate
"i do too" christina says
"they didn't deserve what happened to them at all" tate says and they nod
"well let's go get them so we can get pizza" jonah says as he claps his hands and they laugh and agree
