klaus was acting stranger than usual, wherever she'd go he'd follow her as if she was his lifeline, and he was strangely wandering around the academy as if he hadn't been in the academy for a while

"wow...what happened here?" klaus asks, pointing at the mess made the night before, like the broken chandelier on the ground

lilith scowls at the scene, recalling last night's event, it left an extremely bitter taste in her mouth and she'd love nothing more than to sink her teeth into those assholes

literally and figuratively

"the assholes who took you did, and they did more than that too" she says, glancing up at where pogo was fixing mom

"well you look shit today klaus and lilith... charming as always" diego says passing by the two nonchalantly

lilith understands diego's sour mood today, but that doesn't exactly give him the right to talk to klaus like that especially when he looks like he's gone to hell and back

"is that really what you're gonna say to your brother after he's gone missing for a whole day?" lilith asks, not liking the way diego was treating klaus at the moment

she sees klaus stiffen as she mentions "a whole day" she might have to ask him about that soon

diego scoffs, he looked like he was about retort but decided against it, going off quietly

"well thank you for that diego i needed that, anyways where are you going?" klaus asks with a little glimmer in his eyes that lilith recognized, it brings a little smile to her face

but not diego's "nope"

"what?" klaus and lilith both ask simultaneously

"i'm not giving you two a ride." diego says seriously, trying to intimidate them with his "grown up voice"

"come on...we all need to loosen up, and i recommend that you come with us" lilith pleads, pouting at diego hoping that her puppy eyes may work on him

diego sees this and glares at her "did you actually think the puppy eyes would work? we aren't kids anymore lilith"

lilith gasps dramatically and puts on a fake hurt expression "well fine do what you want goodwill batman"

"oh, come on, man. you know we both can't drive" klaus says

lilith smacks his shoulder playfully "umm excuse me? so did jesus take the wheel when you were drunk and needed a ride home?"

klaus sticks his tongue out at her and she mirrors him, as she used to when they were younger

"i don't c—" diego was about to refuse once more but was cut off with klaus dragging lilith back to his room "okay, great. we'll just get our things. two minutes." klaus says,
