Ezra helped Jolene from the wagon and onto the ground. She couldn't help gasped at the beautiful home in front of her. It was a log cabin with light green shudders and matching front door. She smiled at the well shaded yard and perfect swing trees. She grabbed Ezra's and pointed to a large oak tree by the house. She smiled and said," That tree would make the best swing tree." Ezra couldn't help but chuckle as he nodded his head in agreement. He smiled as he lead her over the front door. He pushed it open before picking her up bridal style. Jolene couldn't help let out a loud giggle as he carried her across the threshold. She looked around the Cabin to find the perfect little home for her and Ezra's growing family. She was home.

Ezra shivered from the cold as he quickly came through the front door. It was mid-December and a blizzard was coming. He slipped off his jacket as the smell of beef stew met his nose. He smiled as he watched Jolene hurrying about by the stove. Her three month belly, showing more lately because of her dresses growing tighter. He slipped his boots off and walked over towards her. Jolene turned and smiled to him. Ezra wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a chaste kiss on the cheek. Jolene laid her head in the crook of his neck as he said," How's my beautiful wife feeling?" Jolene pulled away and began stirring the pot again. He watched as she rubbed her belly and said," I'm definitely feeling better than what I was this morning. This morning sickness is gonna be the death of me." Ezra kissed her cheek again before he sat down at the kitchen table. He smiled as he watched her walk over to her bedroom and come back with a large quilt. She wrapped it around his shoulders before pouring him a warm cup of coffee. He took a sip, moaning at the warmth it gave his insides. She smiled as she pulled the biscuits from the oven and put the pan down on the table. She placed a metal bowl of beef stew in front of him and sat beside him with her own bowl. He grabbed her hand and said a quick prayer before they dug in. Ezra's hands shook as he picked up the spoon and sipped his stew. Jolene knew being out in the cold as much as he had been was gonna get him sick but Ezra always said he was fine. Jolene took a few bites before grabbing two biscuits. One for her and one for Ezra. Jolene pulled apart his biscuit adding it to his soup, just the way he liked it. Ezra gave her a slight smile before digging in again. Jolene smiled and said," I don't want you sleeping in the pallete beg anymore. I want to you to sleep with me tonight." Ezra put his spoon down and looked to Jolene. He sighed and said," Darlin', Are you sure? I don't want ya' to be uncomfortable." Jolene just gave a firm nod as she took his hand in hers. Ezra smiled as he rubbed his finger across her knuckles.

Jolene nervously sat in bed as she waited for Ezra. Jolene wrapped her hands around her growing belly as Ezra walked in the room in an old pair of long johns and holding a blanket. Ezra smiled as he sat on top of the covers and began covering himself with his blanket. Jolene gave him an odd look and said," What are you doing?" Ezra shrugged as he laid back and turned his to Jolene. He smiled and said," I'm getting ready for bed." Jolene crossed her arms across her chest and let a unsatisfied sigh. Jolene flung the blanket off of him and began trying to pull the covers out from under him. Ezra chuckled slightly as he slid under the covers beside her. Jolene cuddled into his side and laid her head on his chest. Ezra chuckled and wrapped his arm around her. Jolene happily sighed and said," That's better." Ezra kissed her temple and laid back on the pillow. He closed his eyes as she said," Do you think it'll be a boy or a girl?" Ezra opened his eyes and rubbed a hand over her growing belly. He thought about it and said," I think it'll be both. I was talking with Ma and Pa yesterday and we were talking how fast your belly is growing, Ma said my Aunt Holly had twins was about your size when she was three months along." Jolene gasped as she thought about giving birth to twins. Jolene began to grow nervous and Ezra could tell. Ezra rubbed his hand on her belly and said,"Jolene, darlin', it's ok. It was just a thought." Jolene just nodded as she closed her eyes. Jolene laid a hand in his chest and said," I know. I would absolutely love twins but giving birth scares me. I've heard stories and your mother has reassured me many times that when the baby does come the labor will be the worst part and hard but the reward of a baby in your arms would be worth it. Just promise you'll be there." Ezra kissed her temple once again and held up his pinky. Jolene opened her eyes and giggled. She held up her pinky letting him wrap it around hers as he said," I pinky promise, JoJo." Jolene smiled at her nickname and kissed his cheek before snuggling up against him again. They both whispered a quick goodnight to one another before going to sleep after the long day of work.
