“Nothing special.” She answered, still looking down. “You?” She asked, after looking up to face me.

“I’m just gonna spend it with my family.” I answered, looking into her eyes. “You know you’re always welcomed.” I added, making her smile.

“Thanks, but no. Christmas is family time and I should spend it with my family too.” She responded, just before turning her head towards the view outside once again.

“Why are you being so quiet?” I dared to ask, hoping it wouldn’t be about our argument that happened back in my house.

“I’m just thinking.” She said, without even looking at me.

“Thinking about what?” I asked again, my worries increasing every second that she stayed quiet.

“Just us…I mean, where are we heading? What’s gonna happen to us in two years?” She said. I took a deep breath before trying to answer, but for my surprise she continued speaking.

“Don’t answer. I’m not asking you to ask me to marry you or something. I’m just thinking about the future, that’s all.” She added, looking outside again.

Damn, why did she keep looking outside, instead of looking at me? She looked hot, though, while doing that.

“We will get married, love.” I chuckled, assuring her of my commitment. “Just not anytime soon…” I could feel that the last part made her sad, but hey, we were too young for marriage. I had a lot more living to do, before creating a family and stuff like that.

“Do you really love me?” She asked all of the sudden, making me give her a ‘what the hell’ look, because of my confusion. “I know you say it all the time, but do you really?” She added once again making me even more confused and kind of mad this time.

“Is this a joke?” I laughed ironically.

“Just…nevermind.” She answered nervously. “It was a stupid thing to ask, I know.” She continued.

Her gaze was facing the food and her hands were settled on the table. I softly put my hand on her hands, and looked deeply into her eyes.

“Please, don’t ever have doubts about what I feel for you, okay?” I said as I looked straight into her eyes. “Even if we break up, I could be fucking a million hoes or maybe even marrying someone else, but it’ll always be you who I’ll be thinking of, day and night.” I smiled. “You and I against the world, remember?” I added.

“You and I, forever and ever.” She answered, giving me one of her warm smiles that I would never get bored watching.

I put her hands up and gently pressed my lips against them, kissing them and showing her my respect and love for her.

She just continued smiling and maybe even blushing a little, while we both continued eating our meals.

A while later, we were back in my place, lying on the bed, watching a movie and cuddling. I wasn’t much of a cuddling type, but hey, if she loved it, who am I to argue with it?

“This feels so good, just like old times.” She said as she looked up to me, her head placed on my chest, my fingers moving through her hair.

“Hey what do you mean with old times?” I asked confused.

“Well lately, all we ever do is just fight. I can’t remember the last time we cuddled while watching a movie.” She replied, as she stared at the TV.

“Yeah you’re probably right. You know what else we haven’t done lately?” I carefully pushed her away as I stood up and looked for my guitar.
